  1. It means everywhere except your house and work. LOL
  2. I hope the doze function in marshmallow works well on the s6. I've read that it did help on the nexus series.
  3. I read that softbank owns a majority stake in supercell. What if sprint offered a perk like 1000 gems to any clash of clans players on their network. It would ruin the integrity of the game but still be nice for those who play. Not me of course... I'm a grown man. ????
  4. That is amazing. For current customers - the only incentives to stay is a good network with plan for continued improvement. Begging people to stay with a carrot is bad for business/not necessary.
  5. For someone who knows nothing about Sprint...this is huge! For me, Framily is the cheapest plan ever. I pay $32 dollars a month (with taxes) for talk, text, and 1GB, combined with my wife we pay a whopping $100 as she is on a GS6 lease.
  6. I read that there was an update pushed to the note edge in the past few weeks. That could account for the better results and maybe more to come. ????
  7. That wont happen though as the judge has already set precedent to help out "the little guys". Sprint will end up having to cave in and give them what they want, but there will probably be hard caps in place.
  8. If battery life is a big selling point get a case with built in backup battery. I know mophie sells them for iphone and galaxy phones.
  9. With the 'burgh being picked as one of the regional HQ's for Sprint's restructuring does that mean anything for our network? Will we see a big push from NGN? I know there are now 2 Sprint stores (non-corporate) in the South Hills Village mall. One just opened next to a T-mobile kiosk the other is on the opposite side of the mall. Not sure if that is an indicator of anything but it's certainly not a bad sign.
  10. I thought Sprint would be moving up or at least generating a few more wins than it currently has. There have been more dropped calls than I would have expected in the recent reports as well. Makes me think maybe optimization is on-going vs maybe an impact from re-farming spectrum for 10x10, vs a bad testing device, vs wonky RootMetrics scoring. At this point it looks like Sprint has been "stable" from 1st half.
  11. I guess Samsung decided against Never Going Back Again to Qualcomm and would break The Chain of Exynos only powered phones. I say both parties should just Go Your Own Way.
  12. I'll stop using a case when my phone is adamantium and diamond. Until then its caseville, population: me.
  13. The (potentially) lower postpaid churn is the only bright spot I see in the conversion of pre-paid to post-paid. Per the conference call those customers don't really seem to pay Sprint more money but are less likely to leave and maybe/eventually buy new phones/add lines/up thier data.
  14. Marcelo did say Sprint would be using non traditional vendors for deployment of NGN. Maybe that has something to do with the lack of detail (novel business plan/doesn't want to let competition know their hand)
  15. According to the ars article the femtocell has a range of 3000 feet, which is about the same as wifi. How is that disruptive? I can see the utility in voice reliability as I didn't know about the ecsfb issue with airrave. I think it's a joke t mobile is playing on its customers to see if they really can get them to drink the Kool aid
  16. If reliable calling is what is being touted as the advantage then Sprint has had a solution for years...Airrave. Other than that by using the LTE femtocell T mobile is offering you are essentially paying for the same home service twice with your ISP and your cell carrier.
  17. Democrat? Tech in general is more left leaning/liberal friendly but I don't know if I'd agree that they are Democrat conspiracy sites. The Verge has become more click baity though...maybe because there's profit to be had!
  18. So Apple made a quarterly profit of $51 billion. I know it flies in the face of the valley culture but I'd like to see them do something akin to the oil baron days. Like build a huge monument, buy a politician or two, or maybe donate one quarter's profit to sprint.
