lets hope the uncarrier event IS Sprint custys now get Tmo tuesdays

I dont know if you remember my foray into the Tmo world a few years back (i mean I griped about a lot of things, so it may have blended) But there was a reason I came back to sprint.. At least for the west of the rockies Where sprint and Tmo were.. sprint generally had better speeds. Coverage was ehhh on the outskirts, but speeds ALWAYS better Tmo had a bit better coverage radius but even though it said I had 2 or 3 bars of service.. speeds were, well like 1/2 bar.. Or like we are seeing in the comments on this thread.. Now reading through, looks like most are on the east coast having problems, and the midwest seems ok... Is this a phone issue?? or signal/Tmo issue??? Kicking sprint customers off to Tmo like it "appears" is not going to be a smart move.. those who have stuck with sprint, understand their issues.. You go and add Tmo issues, and what makes them think its going to be better??? I have NOOOOO doubt, in the end.. maybe a year-ish.. IT will be wellllll worth the headache.. But reading these comments (trying to decide if I want to go to an S20+ or Ultra... And I cant decide if its a phone related issue.. or getting kicked over to Tmo Issue... Either way the marriage was needed.. the fact there was ever an argument (more so from the "experts") show just how uneducated or bought, people supposedly in the know were\are...

It wont be perfect for all (no situation ever is) (oh and the grass is always greener on the other side..... till it isn't) Moving things to overseas... ehhhhh in the current climate, wouldn't be a smart thing to do, for a few reasons.. It will take sometime to sort out which way works better. I have heard the "people want interaction with other people" thought many times.. And for some thats the case.. for others.. They enjoy being isolated, or left to their own work, with a sprinkling of human interaction.. It will be an interesting time for sure.. and WILL stretch Techs limits lol Hopefully NTMO will be ready

I have talked about this point for a while.. Not for Tmo.. but for commercial locations in general... There could be a glut of commercial locations on the market soon... IF it works.. If nothing else, they find they can go from a 50k Building, to a 10k and people/teams rotate a couple times a week or month

I am still waiting for the Tmobile Tues to kick in for us... I keep getting a notice (i dl the app) but it still says not quite ready.. And not that MLB is going right now.. But I am JACKED to get the FREE MLB pass to watch my Dodgers

They better have the Tmo stuff turned on before this goes completely status quo.... Still to many holes inside buildings.. Or I suppose make it so it hands off back to regular voice without dropping

I was talking more in terms of the data side... As I understand it a band is a band is a band.. and if your phone supports it, It uses it right?? Just a simple PRL update, setting the priorities and such?? Or am i over simplifying it??

Yes, BUT remember it goes the other way as well... Tmo customers to hit the sprint towers as well.. which should take the hit off of some Tmo towers..

Thats because even with their "2 year warranty" on the G6, they have kind of been crap, and a butt to deal with if there are problems.. Loved my V20, when I upgraded I went Note 8 (after a v10 on tmo, g4 etc.. LOVED THE BUTTONS ON THE BACK) when they started dumping those I went back to sammy. Bought a bunch of G6s for people on my account (smoking deal) out of 8, 4 of them had issues, camera, acting wonky etc. PITA working through the warranty dept... Next round most of us went S9, 2 stayed with the V40.. 1 has a camera issue within 6 months... I have chose not to send it in due to past experience (they make you feel like its your fault its broke AND take up to 6 weeks to fix) Anyway, no issues with the note 8.. zero issues with any of the S9s And now NO buttons on the back, meh.. anyway my 2 bits

meh, seems i can wait then... I use to be, get that new phone first day guy... but the bumps in tech arent like they use to be.. PLUS, on the processor and fingerprint sensor.. I heard the next gen, probably in the note series... is AMAZING...

ok need more info... trying to decide when or if to upgrade the note 8... or if I should wait on a smoking deal from Tmo for "switch" deals I have quite a few phones the kids want to upgrade.. told them they have to wait a few months for those deals..

And yet they are running Direct into the ground.. looking to sell it off actually.. AND they still dont carry the PAC 12 network.. (which some of the issue lies with PAC 12 being stupid... but still.. They are idiots.. surprised they can even run what they are running.. Same with comcast... glad I dont deal with any of them

Hey has anyone noticed an increase battery usage? I happen to look today, and it was using 45% my battery went from 100 to zero in 5 hrs tonight... Don't nothing out of the norm Note 8

If it fails, not only do they need that spectrum.. they should merge with dish, and create a whole new name for both companies.. because BOTH have had brand issues. And both are fine. What about decent cases and screen protectors??? Yes I am over the curved crap to.. lets get back to flat, and decent protectors.. OR offer at least 1 screen per year for 2 years I have enjoyed my "plastic" type 1 on the note 8 though.. not many issues with it reading things

My question is this.....Why is the speed so low?? Bandwidth?? or backhaul? Or what??? The tower is there, its broadcasting on a band, so why the slow speeds???

well sprint to.. they have towers around.. but its... well go look at the map in the premier section look at utah along the I-15... its filling in a lot better.. and its somewhat rough terrain... but still over all planning for any cell provider, should include townships

The sad part is... this is a small town... but a town nonetheless... SO WHY is there not a tower inside limits, or at least closer to, if you couldnt get permits to build in....
