So am sitting in a motel room in Logan....my phone says its all nice and pretty lte... but when i try to uh hum.....tether it seems laggy...and cant get speedtest to even pop up, to see how it would run on that type of use.... any ideas???

so then part of the answer is yes it does run "newer" 3g

lol, i ask a simple and serious question, and get blasted...reminds me of the nasty look comment from the walmart guy when i asked about cases... i seriously like the screen....and wondered where it came from... no need to get up-ity, all it was, was a question.... if it "started" something i am sorry

that could be the case...or it was just off...in utah you know how that goes.... as I stated in the other thread.... That NSL tower must be off....nothing there today when i drove by.....9:30 am.....or back at 2 PM

Lets say its a new tower in a new area...does that same tower broadcast 3g as well as LTE I was driving through an area I know just had a tower go live, I think about 2 weeks ago...speed was ehhhh for LTE...4-10, certainly not pushing 20 like some have said.... anyway, after i left the tower, it kicked down to 3g, and still was showing a strong 1-2, i say strong because usually out here in utah, its around .05-.50.... I am excited if it goes to .50-1.25 so are they upgrading the 3g as well??? to maybe fill gaps....and does it have a wider range.....say 2 mile circle vs 1.5 mile for LTE....those numbers are just made up distance wise....

well went on a little camping trip....up through logan...my son who has my old sg3....HEY WE HAVE 4G!!!!...I WAS LIKE WHO WHAT???? got my note 2 and sure enough...though my speedtest speeds only hit 3 and 4 Mbps....and sure enough on the north end of town, and drop back to .05-.07 so the sensorly is pretty acurate there.....on a side note, i will be up there in 2 weeks right in the heart of it for a week....hope pdanet is working good....do a little tethering on LTE!!! on the way back down through tremonton....yet again, hey we got 4g... this time i hit 5 and 12 Mbps...he said he got up to like 23 we lost it at that little dip in I-15 between tremonton, and honeyville...where everything drops so boys, it is coming in the outliers, and moving its way in

ok i will fix that also on the tower..its at the 4th street ball park.... and i was half joking about the equipment....just gotta have something to gripe about right

My parents live off 2nd and wall.....and the tower there has stunk for quiet a while.... why cant they just tell us the truth??? "uh sir we have a back log of work orders and equipment to get to....we will get on it asap"..... yea sure your mad.....but less so then..."itll be fixed xxxxx...." then its not and your pissed....at least I am... i need to study what to look for on this tower in layton.....because i can be 100' away and get .05 dl

yea that was the other place about a week ago that sucked... maybe i am just that lucky, to need it in crappy spots

soooo here is a 3g question..... why if i am at the wendys on 12th and washington...do i have no data???? nada....nor did my son who has my old sg3... really 12th and washington, and i cant get speedtest to hit....maps to update...NOTHING!!!!! Like i said...I am sticking with them,,,,,,but ohhhhh when you cant get nav to work because no data in the middle of the city.... ITS A LITTLE ANNOYING!!!

picking up the lte signal... i mean if it hits roaming, then it makes the screen wake....does lte not??

So then why is my note 2 not picking these things up, as I drive around??? it is set to cdm/lte... and pluease tell me the horrible speeds in the last little while, are because towers are coming and going with the new stuff??? because they are plain slow....and i drive all over the place.. or is it my phone??? and if i knew how i could map Logan, as I am going up there in about 2 weeks for work and will be driving all over... ohhhh and hello.... as this is my 1st post.....
