So today as I was watching SCP while driving along.. It seems you drop 5g, keep your LTE a little while, jump to another sector/tower, then it jumps back on 5g... And on 1 of these it just DROPPED everything, for about 10 secs, ZERO data.... Wonder if I was on the phone if it would have dropped or not?? I was streaming, but it had cached enough there was no issue there... Also when my data "sticks" it seems to be on band 2.. it says it's there, yet no speed test, no apps coming up, no streaming etc etc.. Until I hit that next tower Hummmmm

go look in the phones section here... I posted a few things I have stumbled across... There is a problem.. as to how many phones... meh thats the question... As to issues outside that.. I dunno.. But go look in the sammy section of phones here, I put so lins to go read..

I dont know if its an issue (they say old tmo sims) but I have a sprint sim.... I guess if we keep having issues, a new sim would be the next step.. Do you know which yours is??

possibly... as with any electronics, they have their outliers.. good and bad. I just did reprovisioning... we will see how that works out

on top of that.. it seems there are multiple towers with service tickets. in my area as well

So talking to a rep right now, and according to her... (she seems a little less educated if you will) but she told me the s20 didnt say which or if it was all... but supposedly they are having some issues and not playing well.. as of now, she hasn't gotten into it, I took the sigh and the mumbling about problems with the phones.... So i gather by what she is having me doing, the "roaming" or getting onto sprints bands if needed isnt working out well.. Some of this is just me reading into things.. but you get the point.. ill play the game a little longer and see where it goes

Yes I knew right where the tower was, (as my note says) and I was like 1 or 2 blocks from it, in the country... So then with volte, be your voice (top listing) shouldn't have anything, because you are using the lte? Correct? Also I gather with the signal strength it was new hardware on this tower? Or just an upgrade broadcasting both from the same antenna?

So what's this that popped up? Also phone calls would connect, and I could hear, but they couldn't hear me until I restarted my phone...

SO what exactly is going on?? do we know?? Now my daughter in southern utah with an I-phone 11 pro (so NOT subject to kicking to tmo) is having issues.. Trying to get her to dl SCP to check her provider/band info BUT her dorm is having wifi issues as well lol. So with all the issues.. anyone have a guess whats going on?? and How long possibly?? I am giving CS a call on Mon.. because this is becoming a bigger issue for us on phone calls, and for my business connecting while I am jobs....

Hummmmm.... So I took the jump to the s20 ultra to get in the tmo network to see how it was before integration. I had the 5g and volte and things were cruising... But now the last couple weeks things have gone sideways real quick... I wonder what happened? Like my photo earlier shows a I was 200-400 mostly 50 and up... But now won't even crack 10.. So I know I was switched and was fine.. so now what?

I don't know what's happened in the last couple of weeks out in Utah... But they have all but broke things... Calls are having issues, data is back to crap like 5 years ago (for tmo) and today as I looked at things (behave daughter couldn't get ahold of my wife, but she could call me, weird). Anyway, VOLTE? NOPE back to 1x.. also notice the speed test and signal strength.. I was hitting around 300 I believe 2 months ago when I got my s20s ultra... They have muffed something up big time. Oh and a reference speed check results. Photo to.

I noticed it yesterday, it did it when connected to band 71.. I drove back to where i was going.. and know exactly which tower I should be on, and how it behaves.... it never kicked off of 71.. in fact (if Tmo towers keep sectors and notes the same to a tower, 2,12,66, all read the same notes for that tower and it looks like they do, if that makes sense??) Anyway.. this band 71 tower which ever it may be did NOT read to the tower it SHOULD be... So I dont know, it didnt have any of my notes for whichever tower it may be... Hope that makes sense lol.. i go back and read and had to change a little wording..

I can't determine if my connection issues are network related or phone related.. There are times where it just doesn't work. Spotify says no internet, speed test won't connect. But it says I have bars, and usually in the mid 90s to low 100s. The last time it happened, I tried a phone call (volte right?). It worked so I connected to something. But data still wasn't working. Drove down the road to a "new" tower and it worked.. airplane mode off and on doesn't work... Reboot does.. What do you think?

yea, mine hasnt had gps or battery issue.. Only gps is with permissions on a golfing app i use.. I have it set for only when in use.. and the app give me grief everytime, that it might not work right (it does) but other than that, zero issues

Yea I am betting it's more the MFG side pushing for new phones (so they can sell more and make more money) Vs carrier.. (which could give 2 craps how old the phone is on the network, they still get their money) Plus the carrier MAY have to subsidize some to get people to switch over... or the mfg gives them a deal.. Either way, my money is on the mfg pushing for the new phones

So i have been running into issues I have the s20 ultra.. and unless its a spotify issue (which I dont think it is, because other apps have issue at the same time) But it drops to zero or very little bandwidth/data the other day it was barely 10, and it got there at the end, and 2.4 down Could it be they are tweaking things, thus causing these issues?? it seems to be random and hit and miss

Should have waited, these were after I got my s20s, which of course pushes you to tmo (tmo use to be garbage out here, 4 yrs ago). I circled the big speeds.

Salt lake/Northern Utah was always decent.. only gripes i had... Needed new towers due to our growth.. they finally right before the merger put one up near me (i wasnt on it just filled a gap) There are still gaps with TMO, some are the same, some are new (with the merger and combining towers makes me giddy) But they still NEED a decent amount of new towers on the west side of davis and weber counties (if anyone wanted to look) Rarely was i on 26 unless inside or on outskirt coverage areas

me either... the Sprint ones out here were easy to find, could pick them out quick, with those attached RRUs... now.. pfft they all blend in
