  1. Have any of you checked your local sprint store for the sim? I know my personal store stocks the sim needed for the phone to work. I had a customer come in with an N5 looking to get it activated and the sim we used worked just fine.
  2. That would be the one! I went looking for the second one a few months back but didn't have a sprint phone so I couldn't track the signal at all. I looked for a good half hour for antennae around the area and found none so I gave up and went home.
  3. Took em long enough to complete em fully. I believe it was 2-3 months ago that we got lte from that tower as well as others in the Oak Creek area. The last one to be complete is the tower near the power plant and everything South of the airport is NV complete.
  4. That I was aware of. I thought I had read it was hard to get the exact location but not impossible. Guess I'll just have to wait for my home tower to go live instead of chasing a phantom signal.
  5. Even that isn't right either. I'm connected for voice to a tower a lot closer than what the app told me. It pointed straight North and said the tower was just under 3 miles away. There isn't a tower there for me. That's farm fields...
  6. How can you figure where you're getting an lte signal from? I've been getting a weak signal from an unknown tower allover my house for the last couple days. It's always the same gci so I know it's the same tower. I would like to know which tower it is though since I'm quite a ways out from any known accepted towers.
  7. Not all of the g2 are slouches for rf. My co-worker has one and his holds excellent signal. When compared to mine in signalcheck his is close to -10 dbm better than mine. Some are hot for rf while some are not. With that being said I've never had an issue with the connection I've had and my phone actually held a very usable lte signal to the back of my local Walmart the first day I had my phone. My phone also grabs lte time to time from another tower other than my home one less than a half mile away. My home tower is not done yet for lte so the next closest one is prolly 4-5 miles away. Pretty impressive if you ask me. ANDDDDD! I've got a screenshot of my phone being connected to a tower 16 miles away for 1x800. Just more icing on the cake...
  8. I held a signal under -90 the whole way home from Oak Creek today or 800. Woot for no more dropped calls.
  9. Uhmmm. Looked at my phone at work and I have 800 in Oak Creek. =)
  10. You're judging a network that isn't even halfway complete. Let's wait til full completion and see how you like it then. If you can't wait then sorry for ya. Maybe it's time to move along.
  11. Did you try prl, airplane mode.. The usual? I didn't get 800 last night but did this morning only after a prl.
  12. Back in racine County after work and no 800. Airplane mode and prl got me nothing. Testing more than likely. Edit. I lied. Second prl brought me back 800.
  13. it isn't the stock font but one that comes on the phone. It's called foxrain.
  14. That would be awesome. So I watched my phone on my drive into work this morning. I happened to see my phone switch to a tower all the way out in Union Grove while I was on 94 at the racine County line heading to Milwaukee. That tower was 16 miles away!
  15. I believe with Madison they saw 800 then shortly after lte. I'd hope only a few days separation between the two so we'll see. Some sites if I remember do 800 during the day then lte at night for a few days for testing and then one morning they just leave them both on. With the weak signal I really doubt it's my home tower. I live a half mile from it so to get -115 or so doesn't really seem right.
  16. Lte has been flipping on and off all morning with a weak signal. I dunno whether to attribute that to the g2 being a beast on signal or something else but I updated my prl and got this. Home tree finally has 800!
  17. Haven't had that either and I did a little bit of music on my phone today. I'll update if I do experience it.
  18. I just want lte on my g2 everywhere I go. =/ I held lte to the back of my local Walmart today with usable speeds to boot. I wasn't exactly far away from the tower but when I worked there only us cellular was known to have signal throughout the store. Edit. I still think Racine is 800 complete and just not showing as such on the signalcheck app. I've tried uninstalling and then re-downloading the app and I get the same thing. I don't know how I would be connecting to a tower all the way across town without being on 800. When I was driving towards a known 4g tower my phone skipped right over it at first and connected to one that is NV according to sprint but the app wouldn't reflect that. It's really bugging me as to what the hell is going on here...
  19. I just switched from us cell to sprint and needed a phone to use until the warehouse shipped my g2 so I used my managers HTC one. It wasn't by any means my favorite phone to use but it did the job until I got my phone. The camera on the one definitely wasn't up to par imo. It took really crappy pictures compared to my s4 I had with us cell so I hardly used it at all for that. I haven't had any call quality issues thus far but I've only been running my g2 for a few hours and made 1 call. Time will tell. Unfortunately being an employee and ordering from where I did I don't think I have a return policy so it's either this or sell it and get an nexus.
  20. I feel like we're playing where's Waldo with these acceptance reports. Anyone able to spot the new pins?
  21. I have the spigen slim armor on my phone and it fits nice and doesn't effect how the buttons are on the back. It actually makes it easier to find them due to having a slot cut out to get to them. You can still see the led with this on. The only bad thing is the bottom of the case digs into my finger depending on how I hold the phone.
  22. I finally got my g2 today and have been somewhat impressed with it. Compared to my HTC one I used just for a few weeks voice signal doesn't seem to be quite as good but is still decent and I happen to have a few towers that are fully complete so I get 4G in the main part of the city. I held a usable lte sign to the back of Walmart today. Now my home tree just needs to get lit up and I'll be set!
