  1. Never the network page. Don't go into markets but scroll down and there's some other topics. Just look for the page that says how to spot antenna Samsung style. I lm pretty sure that's what it says at least m
  2. Take a look at the Samsung identification page on this forum and it'll show you what the new stuff looks like. I've posted pics in here before that show complete sites and it helps a little in showing what the older stuff next to the new looks like.
  3. The top looks like it's sprint. Not nv though. There aren't any rru from what I can tell.
  4. Ah. I don't remember seeing it but my manager goes over it pretty well and he still recommends we do it for customers. I did two just last Sunday. Lol. Call 888-273-9460 which is account services and just ask for any available buyout options. Same thing as *3 on a sprint phone I believe.
  5. This is not true. A preferred retailer like the one I work for can still process this. It goes on the next bill instead of being paid for at the time. But it rarely takes longer than two hours and the customer is back getting their new phone.
  6. Downtown by 6th and main. Not quite the north side but it's in Racine. That's the only accepted tower I've seen the city.
  7. I have customers come in all the time with weird stories about phones needing to be active on an account for 72 hours before you can switch em to another line. Or the customer's insurance or some feature they wanted wasn't transferred over. Guess where the majority come from... Best Buy. I haven't ever used em personally but after seeing what shoddy work they do, in my city at least, I wouldn't use em.
  8. You don't just turn on a whole market. Unfortunately that is not true in the slightest. Racine and Kenosha are last on the list to be completed. There is a tower less than a quarter mile from my house in Franksville and it hasn't even been touched. That counts as Racine and I doubt the work will be done overnight.
  9. Smaller number smaller rru, makes sense. It could be done like he said and just not online. Our tower at work was done for almost a week before we got our first lte signal.
  10. This. The little one is 800 iirc. If not its just the other way around.
  11. Although the one dot on 27th is off on it's own next to where the cell site I mentioned would be I'm leaning more towards that being a little fleeting signal from the other sites due to Rawson being all lit up until it hits 27th. It could possibly be it but who knows. The other two very well could be going live and be near completion. I might be able to go check all three sites out tomorrow or possibly Monday and give some more feedback.
  12. I "picked up" our dummy phone this morning. I'm surprised how big it is actually. For the smaller screen size compared to my s4 I expected it to feel tiny but it actually feels good in the hand. Once I get a live demo I'll be able to report on more but so far so good from what I can tell.
  13. I'm fairly sure that the water tower on 27th and sycamore has some nv antennas on it. The western most antennas are all that I could catch a glimpse of while driving and there appeared to be RRU on the center antenna just like the other cell sites I've checked out. I won't be able to go investigate until Sunday to confirm though.
  14. Brady street is good people. They wouldn't steer you wrong. The manager used to work at my store.
  15. I've been wrong before but the far right antenna on the top rack looks to be nv. Same for the left side and the right side's antenna is on the left. The rest look to be legacy.
  16. Elm? The one by FedEx? If so it hasn't even been touched. I drove past today and saw legacy panels and cabinets with no signs of any new equipment being on site waiting to be installed. But things can always change quickly.
  17. I'm surprised there isn't more purple around S. Howell avenue. Where's everybody been at?!
  18. 63 on the One and the s4. I haven't installed speed test on our iPhone 5. Maybe I'll do that later today so I can compare em all.
  19. Lunch time on S. Howell and I'm still getting 3 down 2 up. Not bad.
  20. The Milwaukee market is supposed to be 75% done by October. The rest of Wisconsin should be close to the same plan. That isn't for sure though.
  21. classic lanes in Oak Creek is on! got 4.5 down and almost 2 up. If you guys want to come in and say hello at the sprint store down the street go for it. Looking forward to seeing some purple tonight.
  22. At least as far as my training went stuff like this is not covered. The majority is common sense and taking what you've learned from working on previous phones and applying it to the situation. Sum swapping is a no brainer since the iPhone needs one to work and they've needed to be swapped for awhile. But the statement does hold true that most don't know what to do. Another tech in our district called to ask how we open the One so we can replace a mic. -_- 'nuff said.
