  1. I give up. The white whale was not to be found today. AJ
  2. Even the supposedly completed Google Play sales are all showing a shipping date more than three weeks out. This handset is not getting into actual consumers' hands any time soon. Sprint has plenty of time left to put the Nexus 6 up for pre order/sale. AJ
  3. Buy one directly from Sprint. The non upgrade price on this cannot be much, if any higher than the Google Play price. AJ
  4. And if this really was the launch, my guess is that the wireless operators got a much, much larger proportion of the stock this year. The Nexus 6 price is just too high to warrant as many off contract or non financed sales through Google Play. AJ
  5. If this really was the launch, then Google Play had all of 15 of each color in stock. Bad show. AJ
  6. Nope. You are just an Oklahoma Sooner. You jumped the gun. AJ
  7. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/ AJ
  8. Next, Robert will wonder why the tele florist is suing AT&T. AJ
  9. On that last count, why not? Why is the "uncarrier" unwilling to advertise its advanced network coverage map against those of any of the other big three? AJ
  10. I used those hypothetical stats for illustrative purposes. The actual percentages are not important. But there is good reason why T-Mobile advertises its coverage POPs, not its coverage area. T-Mobile is still -- by good measure -- the weakling among the big four. AJ
  11. You "outed" the new PRL? Did anyone alert TMZ? AJ
  12. There are plenty of devices, herbal remedies, and pills available for that. AJ
  13. That is roughly what I recall from the Nexus 5 last year. AJ
  14. If PST, that is a bitch for some of us not on the West Coast. AJ
  15. The Robert M. Herron Museum of Modern Cellphones accepts donations. AJ
  16. Why stop now? Keep the ball rolling. So, what time does this whale of a phone go on sale tomorrow? AJ
  17. Is it really that "amazing"? In the US, something like 90 percent of the population is confined to 10 percent of the land area. Prima facie, stats can be impressive, can appear similar to other stats. But in depth analysis shows that they are not so similar. AJ
  18. Then, maybe S4GRU should just "stop" altogether. You seem to insinuate that Sprint has a firm handle on this, and after all, we know that Sprint has a great management track record. Yeah, Sprint has never oversold its network and has always provided accurate info on Network Vision deployment. Or maybe S4GRU should just stop advocating that "unlimited" data users offload to safe Wi-Fi, where possible. They have "unlimited" data, dammit, and they sure as hell should use it out the wazoo. Or maybe you should just "stop" giving personal advice above your pay grade. AJ
  19. From Samsung to Robert goes out this long distance dedication... AJ
  20. Yes, the current band plan results in vacant spectrum. A 5 MHz FDD carrier occupies effectively 4.5 MHz FDD, while a 10 MHz FDD carrier occupies effectively 9 MHz FDD. For a 6 MHz FDD block or an adjacent pair of 6 MHz FDD blocks, that leaves at least 1 MHz wasted per block. I am not sure that I follow. This reconfiguration would involve only Lower 700 MHz, not Upper 700 MHz. Any Upper 700 MHz reconfiguration would have to be separate, as that band uses an inverted duplex. AJ
