  1. I just picked up the Nexus 7 today. It's charging up waiting to be put through its paces. Now I have a big laptop, a small laptop, a netbook, a tablet and of course my EVO. Mission complete! Sent from my EVO LTE using Tapatalk 2
  2. Purerto Rico's build out looks impressive. Makes makes me want to take a winter escape vacation down there and do some speed tests, mapping as well as taste testing all of the locally made rum.
  3. You must have been hitting towers in MA as others in Lincoln have reported sightings also. I'm in South County, I wish they'd start even further down.
  4. I've never seen 3G speeds like this. Using my LG Viper. RT1 @ 138
  5. We are a funny bunch. We expect Sprint to match Verizon/AT&T with coverage, data speeds etc but of course not its tiered data allowances or its pricing. Sent using Tapatalk
  6. I've often thought US Cellular was a good fit as well as C Spire. I had all but forgotten about Alltel. Cricket I'm not so sure of. I don't know what benefit they would provide being a prepaid carrier. I think somebody acquires them down the road as they are not tearing it up. Maybe T-Mobile will look at them, I firmly believe they are going to end up a prepaid carrier anyway. Sent using Tapatalk
  7. As well as paying US Cellular, C-Spire, Alltel etc. Sent using Tapatalk
  8. Yes! They are fairly reasonable in the secondary market and not a bad little phone.

    LG Optimus G

I just unloaded mine yesterday, I just don't like all that real estate I do like the LG product though as I have a Viper too. I just hope the industry doesn't adapt to having 2 sizes. 4" or enormous. Sent using Tapatalk
  10. The carriers take it on the chin with the iPhone more than the subsidized customer does. They don't always know (or care) that you might get more for your 200.00 by getting an Optimus G or S3. I'd be willing to bet a Windows phone or even the new Blackberry would be 199.99 out the door with a 2 yr. commitment. Sent using Tapatalk
  11. I'm not sure which is better. I put Apple Care + on my device and for 99.00 and to get 2 instances of water damage/shattered screens for 50.00 was well worth it IMO. Plus, it extended the standard defective product guarantee. It's also a great selling feature if you want to sell the device.
  12. Isn't the S3 outselling the iPhone? I'd have to think Samsung has some clout as well. The S3 is 549.00 on Sprints website. 599.99 on Verizon and 599.99 on T-Mobile. Still a rather expensive device looking at full retail. The disparity of a phones value gets even murkier here: Samsung Victory is 399.99 MSRP on Sprint postpaid but 249.99 on its pay as you go offering. Optimus Elite is 249.99 on Sprint Postpaid but yet 149.99 on its new pay as you go offering and even cheaper @ 129.99 on Virgin Mobile. Same phone, same carrier, 3 different prices.
  13. Not to say one is better than the other (I have both) and to avoid an OS debate there seems to be more information on Apples cost than others. "IF" (according to Google searches) it cost Apple around 200.00 to make an iPhone 5, does the Samsung Galaxy S3 or Optimus G have anything that would justify a much bigger cost? Doesn't Foxconn make handsets for various vendors?
  14. Sure you could. There are some pretty decent phones on Boost Mobile under 200.00 Is it an Optimus G or Galaxy S3? No, but if the carriers all moved to a non subsidy model (which they won't) the handset manufactures would have to adjust pricing. That even includes Apple.
  15. Good burgers! They took a place to get fit and turned it into a place to get fat! Sent using Tapatalk

    LG Optimus G

I believe it was in the neighborhood of a 300Mb allowance and it's 2G. That could have changed but use too much voice or data while roaming and I believe it's one warning then a service termination notice. Sent using Tapatalk
  17. I understand the frustration in SE Florida as 3G is unusable where there have been no upgrades. I couldn't be a Sprint customer if I lived here year round. Parts of Hollywood aren't too bad but it can't come fast enough. Sent using Tapatalk
  18. Well, I got the app figured out now and I guess it's due to the limitation of my device like you stated. I'm almost on Halandale Beach BL @ 1A and must be picking up LTE from US1 in Hollywood. Sent using Tapatalk
  19. Sensorly isn't showing any mapping (or maybe I am doing something wrong) but I'm picking up an LTE signal in Hallandale. Sent using Tapatalk
  20. Are they still your friend after using it? A back up T-Mobile device? That's odd, I thought if one used T-Mobile THEN a back up device from another carrier was warranted. Sent using Tapatalk
  21. Oh I don't know about that. Sprint was terrible under Forsee but it was a top priority under Hesse and I think it's excellent. Verizon and AT&T were good also. Sometimes people rate customer service low because they can't get what they want. Sent using Tapatalk
  22. I like Sprint (obviously) and I like the fact that I don't have to watch my usage. I know what my bill is going to be every month. Word of mouth is still the best form of advertising there is and maybe it would behoove Sprint to bring back some type of referral program. I don't see any mention of it on the website anymore. I own a small business that generates RMR from my customers and I offer billing credits when a customer refers someone to me and I get the account. It works out well for both of us.
  23. But that's assuming T-Mobile works for him. I'm just below you in Providence and T-Mobile (to use a popular Don Imus saying) can't suck enough. If Sprint is damaged goods then T-Mobile must be destroyed.
  24. It's disturbing to hear people that left Nextel (and there were millions of them) when it was imploding don't know/understand/realize that it was not the Sprint network folding. But yet, I have friends that left Nextel and would never ever try the Sprint brand because they believe they were one in the same. Even the dim wits at my local Radio Shack would tell customers that since the merger Nextel and Sprint use the same exact towers. We know the merger is history, we know the difference and what lies ahead but it's tough to change peoples perception.
  25. T-Mobile is beyond pathetic in the big picture. Almost the entire State of Delaware is EDGE/GPRS with poor coverage. Why not just pull out if your going to half bake something? They are fine if you live in a major metro area and don't ever leave it.
