  1. Stockton is not a test market. That was misinformation started by TechnoBuffalo. You can read our response to that here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-162-clarification-on-reported-new-sprint-4g-lte-cities/ We report all the advanced info about Network Vision that is fit for print. The Upper Central Valley market will not begin NV/LTE deployment until sometime in 2013. There is no more information than that at this time. Even Sprint doesn't even know more than that currently. They are completing design and planning on Round Three and Four markets this summer and fall. After that planning and permitting work is complete, they will start compiling scheduling for 2013. I think the earliest we will start reporting meaningful 2013 deployment info is Mid Fall. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

eHRPD should only be available on NV sites. So far, here in rural New Mexico, our EVO LTE is producing almost identical speeds to the E4GT and OG EVO's we have on EVDO. And, of course, we have no eHRPD or NV here. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  5. Here are pics of the new complimentary EVO LTE cover I received from Sprint this morning. Electric blue. It's definitely an inexpensive case, but it looks and feels good for what it is. And it's very much appreciated, since I expected nothing and don't fault Sprint for what happened with the delays.

  7. This is actually ahead of schedule. Sprint has marked in its 800MHz LTE schedule to have FCC approval by August. This is good news. The 800 LTE FIT's are scheduled for a Fall deployment. This will allow these to start on time. Or perhaps, maybe even sooner? Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  8. They will "launch" a few markets in June and July. However, I am expecting to see some live LTE sites to stop being blocked prior to launches. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  9. Yes, I have a second package out for delivery from UPS now. Must be the case. Very cool. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

    No 4g option?

I have kept it in CDMA/LTE for 24 hours now and it doesn't *appear* to have any extra battery drain. This thing seems to sip the juice. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  13. This map shows all the live Network Vision sites in the country, including the ones in the Austin market. Currently, the only sites live in the Austin market are in the Waco area. There will be more that are scheduled to start coming live in June in the Austin metro area. Each live NV site map is marked with which NV technology is currently live, 3G, 800 and 4G. Robert

  15. It would be nice to get some bonafide details from Shentel's deployment. This is actually even the first rumors we have even heard. I typically am extremely skeptical of info received from Sprint corporate store employees. However, Shentel store employees are likely to have more info given the much smaller nature of their company. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

    EVO 4GLTE Antenna

I have a weaker signal here on my EVO LTE than on my E4GT, which is quite shocking. As most of you know, I live next to a Sprint site. My E4GT gets -65dBm consistently. The EVO LTE has been -76dBm since it was activated late this morning. Whereas the OG EVO's consistently in the forties and fifties. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

    GS3 and 4G LTE

It is possible. But it would be a first. Previous Samsung devices have gone through the labs. To date, only the iPhone has not. But there is a first for everything, right? Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
