  1. It is true that I am extremely busy at work at the moment. And the gravity of the story wasn't worth covering, IMO. I would just be regurgitating what other news stories are saying. Unless I have some sort of info internally from Sprint, or have something more to offer in my coverage, I won't post an article about it. Robert
  2. S4GRU is idiocy repellent. We run those guys outta here quickly! Robert
  3. The maps show every single site that will get Network Vision/LTE upgrades. It will receive LTE if it is on the Austin map. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/577-network-vision-site-map-dfw-austin-and-west-texas/ The Dallas map you are referring to is a live LTE coverage map. Since there are no live sites in Austin yet to date, there is no LTE Live Coverage map for that market. There is one for Waco, though. Robert

  5. Sprint Direct Connect was supposed to be available on EVDO Roaming in Spring 2012 and over Native 1x by Mid 2012. However, I have not seen anything on these two things for awhile now. Robert via Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  12. There are 54 live LTE sites in the Houston Sprint market. However, Sprint is actively blocking connections to the LTE network at the moment. I have seen a couple of reports where people have been able to connect around Houston, but then they get blocked after a couple of days. It is unknown when Sprint will stop blocking LTE connections. Since there will be a couple of market launches in June, you think they will have to stop blocking around that time. Robert
  13. I'm not certain why. All I know is where at this time, none of the "whys". Robert
  14. There is no list, yet. However, almost all will get CDMA 800. Sprint is targeting 80% with LTE 800. Once I have a list, I will definitely report it. Robert
  15. The two 800 LTE FIT's will start this Fall. Devices that include 800 LTE support are currently scheduled to start hitting the market 2Q-2013, with 800 LTE sites currently scheduled to start coming online 2nd Half 2013. I think they will start deploying 800 LTE with NV deployments in progress after the successful conclusions of the FIT's. Robert
  16. They are clearing enough iDEN channels to allow a CDMA 1xA Carrier to be placed on 800 Channel 476 now. There are 5 CDMA 800 sites in Chicago that Sprint has opened up to customers. S4GRU members have also found a few in Baltimore and LA markets. Robert
  17. Thanks for the link. I was hoping they would go with January 1 or March 31. But I'll take it! Robert
  18. We will be doing market updates over the next few weeks. Stay tuned. Robert
  19. This map here shows all the Network Vision/LTE sites that will occur in the Austin market: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/577-network-vision-site-map-dfw-austin-and-west-texas/ It is only visible to S4GRU Sponsors. There is also a Austin NV Schedule Map in this forum: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/forum/38-s4gru-premier-sponsors-forum/ But it is only visible to Premier Sponsors.
