  1. Rarely. That data is so inconsistent, that I do not publish it. Field data from our members is much more reliable. Robert
  2. Well said. Sometimes you have to cut your losses with a customer. This doesn't make the customer in error. It just means sometimes you cannot be a good fit for that customers needs, and they realize they cannot provide the service for the customer as they expect. In this instance, both parties are better off. Just like S4GRU is not a good fit for everyone who wants to discuss the Sprint network. With some people, we just need to part ways. Robert
  3. The backhaul Sprint used on legacy sites were T1 lines. Even from CenturyLink. T1 lines are insufficient backhaul for 3G/4G networks nowadays. Sprint is changing out backhaul to much faster backhaul providers in their Network Vision upgrades. When sites in Olive Branch start getting upgraded to Network Vision in the next few months, you will start seeing dramatic improvements. Robert
  4. NetMonitor does not show LTE sites on their maps. In their app, they will show connection type as LTE. But then in the map, it never shows the LTE site it is connected to, but rather the 1x (voice) site. And these are very often different. Also, there is an issue with NetMonitor and CDMA Field Test showing accurate results in some markets, even for 1x signals: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1367-cdma-towers-that-squawk-the-wrong-coordinates/ Robert
  5. Market updates are tracked in this thread: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/212-network-visionlte-deployment-running-list/ Robert
  6. Lancaster is a part of the Charlotte market and is being upgraded with all the communities in that market. The Upstate part of SC is in the South Carolina market and will be upgraded with all the communities in that market. The SC market will begin deployment some time in 2013. Final scheduling of 2013 markets will be completed this Fall. Robert

  8. Although I pretty much think this is much ado about nothing, all of these types of complaints, if they continue for Apple will slowly diminish the perceived brand excellence. Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner

  15. You have no choice but to accept it until Network Vision upgrades happen in your area. Or you can go to another carrier. It is what it is. Sprints 3G network is crumbling and they are doing the right thing to fix it. However, it will take some time to finish. Fortunately Miami is actively being worked on now. 17. That date is not what the schedule says, its our take based on the current production rate. If they completed sites at the rate they are now, it would take until February 2014 to completely finish the market. However, they should start increasing the production rate. At least they desperately need to. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
