  2. We are seeing some WiMax reports from members that they are getting higher WiMax speeds now than at initial WiMax launch two years ago. It's possible that Clearwire is upgrading their backhaul in front of LTE deployment. Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner
  3. I don't want to. I want them all!!! I'm also kind of concerned that maybe the Note 2 won't be as good of a radio performer. But if I couldn't swing the full price, I might be willing to do the trade. Robert via Samsung Galaxy S-III 32GB using Forum Runner

  5. Open Signal maps is a very unreliable source for locating sites. However, we do have maps in the Sponsor section of our site that shows every Sprint site in the country. In rural conditions, you may be able to get Sprint LTE out about 2-3 miles. But the performance may be iffy. If your 1x signal strength is worse than -95dBm, you'll likely not get a very good Sprint LTE signal it not at all once your area is built out. But beyond all that, only smartphone data is unlimited. Tethering is limited to data caps, which I believe the largest cap is 12GB. That's not very much for home usage. Sprint is expected to crack down on unauthorized tethering on their LTE network. 6. I hit 2.52Mbps on a completed NV site in Waco. Otherwise the fastest I have hit in NM is 2.2Mbps. None of the sites in my immediate area exceed 1.4Mbps because they are all on T1's. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  8. I believe work is starting. However, I would be surprised if we see anything completed in the next 30 days. I believe Memphis was on Sprint's 100 city list. So we know it's coming sooner than later. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  9. Although not a perfect indicator, that's a good sign. And if you looked in our NV Sites Complete Map in our Sponsor section and seen a completed site in that area, I would take that as confirmation. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
  10. It will still be a few months until Sprint LTE starts popping up around San Juan. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  12. Most likely it was not the Firmware update that gave them LTE. It was that when a Firmware update is completed, it scans for LTE. You can also force a scan for LTE by updating your PRL, turning on airplane mode and then turning it off, or changing to CDMA only mode and going back to CDMA/LTE mode. LTE has not launched in the Chicago market. Sprint is just allowing the couple of dozen complete sites to be used now. So if you are near a site that is complete, you will now be able to use it. So service in the suburban Chicago market is very spotty right now. But will get a little better every week. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner

  15. That sounds like future tense instead of past tense. Maybe they just received State authorization and the work is just about to begin? Let's watch the NV Sites Complete list. We may be able to determine a pattern with dates that we can track. For instance if they show up on your list on X date, and they consistently show up on the NV Sites Complete map 30 days later, then we can start broadcasting your lists in advance. Kind of exciting. 17. There are some sites where there has to be a hot swap. However, these don't look like the AlcaLu NV panels I'm used to seeing. And I have not seen more than 2 NV panels per sector yet anywhere. 90% of the time there is just one per sector. I think this may be AT&T. Robert via CM9 Kindle Fire using Forum Runner
