  1. Where have they removed Orlando from deployment list? Each Press Release is an addition to the previous ones. They don't remove cities. Also, deployment is going on now in the Orlando area. Over a dozen sites live and more coming every week. So obviously they haven't removed Orlando. Get a grip, man. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  2. Shentel even has a ground mounted site with LTE live in Mont Alto, PA using legacy panels and ground mount RRU's. Works quite well. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  4. Yes. Work will be starting this Spring in the Cleveland market. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  5. Yeah. Verizon has LTE on my site. Their backhaul is microwave aimed toward Los Alamos. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  6. I may be the only Sprint customer on my sector. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  7. No. They are working on dozens of sites at once. The moment each site finishes and passes inspection, it goes live. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  8. Nope. Doesn't mean a thing, unfortunately. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  9. There is no statewide requirement. It varies by city and county. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  10. That's not true. There are GMO's with LTE installed now. Its just true of my site. I could have one of the 100 sites. We will see. Robert via Samsung Note II using Forum Runner
  11. And it is not all Ground Mount sites. Just all the ones the guy I talked to have been to. There are indeed GMO sites that are getting LTE. No one needs to be concerned unless they live in El Valle de Arroyo Seco, New Mexico at this time. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  12. It is a good question and one that I share with you. I don't know what's the benefit of doing this is. My legacy site works just fine. And this is not going to improve its performance any anyways. Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  13. Well, I got some bad news today. I saw work going on my site again as I was driving by to an appointment. I stopped in and talked with the guy working on the RBS. He pointed to the carrier cards in the new RBS, which he said were four CDMA cards. One EVDO and one 1x per sector. He said that the RRUS11 on my site will be CDMA only. He also allowed me to look at the plans, and sure enough it is clear as day...LTE 1900 - 0 RRUs. CDMA 1900 - 1 RRU. CDMA 800 - 0 RRUs. LTE 800 - 0 RRUs. He said also there is no new backhaul at the site. Just two T1's. One for EVDO and one for 1x. He said my site will not likely get LTE until they come back for a full build. He said all the sites he's worked on in Northern New Mexico area and West Texas market so far have been ground mount and CDMA only with no upgraded backhaul. He said there is the possibility that if the site has upgraded backhaul, they will add LTE to the ground mount site now. Or if backhaul shows up in the next few months, it would be very easy to add LTE. Just slap in a carrier card and an additional ground mount RRU for each sector. All can be done from the ground in a few hours. I'm a little bummed. But I always say that I don't need LTE at my house. I guess I need to prove I mean it now by not whining. 14. No problem. I didn't take it that way. Just trying to solve the mystery. I think I will add this site as In Progress though. Thanks! Robert via Samsung Note II via Tapatalk
  15. Which site is that? I've looked at the 70/401 split on the north side of Downtown Raleigh, and on the south side of Raleigh, and I don't see a site marked on our maps nor a blip on Sensorly. So I'm not certain what you're debating. Is this a member report I missed? Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  16. It looks like there are some GMO sites In Progress. That's about it so far. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  17. PM me the Site ID or location and I will mark it In Progress. Thanks. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  18. These types of comments really frustrate me. I have addressed this point 100 times in our forums. This is not an add LTE to the cities upgrade. Sprint is overhauling its entire network. Every site, every switch. They upgrade sites on a first ready basis. Although you consider Lake Mary more important than Mount Dora, this is not how the deployment is occurring. It is occurring everywhere. Often rural sites and sites in smaller communities go first because the infrastructure is often closer to the site and easier to connect to. Also, permitting and zoning is easier or not even required. This is not a Sprint issue, it is a local issue. And the only reason why other carriers may have deployed in urban and suburban areas first is because they didn't even upgrade their rural sites. Where Sprint is. The whole market is being worked on. Every site. The ones in your area will be worked on the moment they are ready. But I'm not a fan of the "my community is more important than this other one" eliticism. Everyone deserves an upgraded network. And Sprint is bringing it to every site. Not creating a winners and losers list based on who they deem the most worthy. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  19. This is not unusual in new markets. We have seen this before where LTE goes down, sometimes even for upntona week. Orlando has its own LTE core, and they are likely working through things getting it online. Additionally, there are dozens of sites being worked on. They are not timed to bring you a steady trickle of sites coming online. Each comes online the moment it passes all inspections and is good to go. That makes the timing inconsistent and all over the place. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD

  21. Send me a PM if confirmed on your way back. I'd love to put one In Progress that was confirmed in the field. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  22. In my experience, the Photon was one of the slowest finding LTE on its own. It could have just been a scan time coincidence, it just happened to do an auto scan just at the right time. Or it is possible the scan timer has been adjusted in a recent update. I haven't used the Photon on LTE since Thanksgiving weekend. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
  23. They are not picking and choosing sites based on the worthiness of the location. Sprint and Samsung are upgrading all sites in the Wolverine State. Each site is started the moment it is ready, and live the moment it is ready. Warren will have sites complete as soon as they can be. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
