My phone is no longer an LTE/NV virgin!!!!  I know its sad, but my phone has never connected to a upgraded tower whether it be just a 3g upgrade or LTE.  But driving to the airport this morning obviou

Close but not quite, 800 have a much LONGER range.    Here's the advantages to a Tri-Band device.   You have access to three bands of LTE: 1900 (PCS), 800 (SMR), and 25/2600 (TD-LTE).   PCS LTE

ok on another note......

 

will the sites that had only nextel, be converted to sprint lte stuff???

 

I mean some are doubled up, so you can get rid of 1 set of equip/power supplies....

 

but on towers that are nextel only....will they add NV there, and maybe help fill gaps??

 

anyone heard???

because i am literally 2' from it, and the green light is on....and it says i am roaming :blink:  :blink:  :blink:  :blink:

If I remember correctly a few will be converted but not a lot. Robert has mentioned it in a post somewhere.

ohhh 1 other thing....

 

these radio/antennas, are 1900, 800mhz.....he wasnt sure if they were 2500...  but i would imagine so

ok doing some digging, and answered my own thought....I was wrong....

Alright guys I thought we were all suppose to be friendly.  Why are people attacking other people who are trying to get to NV sites!!!??? The guy was just trying to get a ride to help us out here and look what happens.  He gets the crap beat out of him...its a shame....This was posted on KSL.  UT man cleared of brutal beating of NV hitchhiker.  

I think its funny that I think of NV as Network Vision now and not Nevada haha.

That's is funny...

 

No the tower for Sprint that hits this way, is on main and the parkway...had west on the parkway and look north...boom right there....

 

They need one bad west on gentile or bluff area..

 

Once it's upgraded I am sure we will be fine...

You're right, sorry, my research shows it to be t-mobile on the top and cricket below at heritage site.   How does ATT and VZW do in your neighborhood?  They do poorly in mine.

I just cant stand the idea of air-raves.  To me they just mean I picked the wrong carrier.  In my neighborhood sprint has very very good signal, even in basements, so my sprint devices do great except that there's no sprint LTE yet, but we do have ATT/VZW/TMO LTE.

yours is good because you have a tower at the top of 200, above 89, and 1 by cherry hill...

 

and then 200 N by the free way...soooo depending on where you are you probably catch 2 towers

 

Our friends have att and it struggles here....i think vz is ok based on another friend...

 

 

in the end it is also the devices.....the motorola photon i had....had an awesome radio in it.....the samsungs...ehhhh

 

but lte will be here soon.....

 

in fact i have to run up to the post office....maybe ill scout that 89 tower and cherry hill on the way back....

Nevermind that last post, somehow I did a butt post. I downloaded tapatalk so I can attach screen shots easier, but specific to the engineering/technical info.... is the engineering info off my phone(##debug#) more useful information than information you get from the signal pro app??

      Kind of amazing that T-Mobile is still holding onto that speed title despite Verizon all but killing off lowband 5G on their network. While Verizon is mostly being evaluated on mmWave and C-band performance, T-Mobile and AT&T's average 5G speeds include their massive lowband 5G networks that are significantly slower.

      Yup. Very true. We were originally on an Everything Data 1500 Plan, which got Unlimited Minutes thanks to Marcelo's "Loyalty Benefits" offer. We then switched to Unlimited Freedom (with the Free HD add-on that Sprint originally wanted $20/month per line for.... remember that?) because the pricing was better with "iPhone for Life", vs. the "Loyalty Credit" for staying on a Legacy Plan. After that, I ran the numbers and switched us over to Sprint MAX, especially for the international travel benefits. There's absolutely no reason for us to switch to Go5G Plus or Go5G Next if we're going to do BYOD by purchasing from Apple/Samsung/Google directly as we've been doing. These new plans aren't priced for current customers to switch to. They're priced for new customers, where they throw in a free line, etc. It's gone from "Uncarrier" to "Carrier". What a shame.

      Strange business model that they keep around all these pricing plans. 1000s of plans per carrier is reportedly not uncommon.  Training customer support must be a nightmare. Even MVNOs have legacy plans. A downside of their contract mentality I guess. Best to change contracts during a recession. But then all carriers try to squeeze out legacy plan benefits as they grow old.

      Everything "Uncarrier" is becoming "Carrier" again. Because of the Credit Limit that T-Mobile put on our account for no reason at all (and wouldn't change/update the last time I checked all the way up to the CEO), I don't plan on buying/upgrading our iPhones through T-Mobile. I'm going through Apple directly. Looks like I'll be going through Google and Samsung directly for our other lines for upgrades. Also, we're staying on Sprint Max given the ridiculous pricing for Go5G Plus. On Sprint Max, we currently pay for our Plan: $260 for 7 Voice Lines $25 for two Wearable Lines. (One is $10/Month. The other is $15/Month because the AutoPay discount only applies up to 8 lines.) Total: $285/Month vs. Go5G Plus (Per the Broadband Facts "nutrition label" on the T-Mobile Website): https://www.t-mobile.com/commerce/cell-phone-plans $360 - ($5 AutoPay Discount x 7 Voice Lines) = $325 The Watch Plans show as either $12/Month or $15/Month: https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/affordable-data-plans/smartwatches So this is about the same for the wearables as what we're paying now. Overall, it's quite more than we're paying now to switch plans. Ridiculous....
