Does it still reboot when in safe mode?

Power on your device in Safe mode:
  1. Power off your device.
  2. Power on your device.
  3. When the Samsung logo appears by itself, press and hold the Volume down key.
  4. The device will switch on in Safe mode. "Safe mode" will be displayed on the bottom left of the screen.

It seems to be every few hours rather than a constant thing. It rebooted overnight, but hasn't since I've been at work this morning. If it happens again I'll see what happens in safe mode.

i like my ultra so far (coming from the S20+, best phone for me ever to date)...phones definitely heavier.  I did a 45 minute youtube streaming session this morning and did not have any issues.  I returned the Pixel 7 last fall because it absolutely barfed at such an easy task.  Completely overheated and freaked out.  While the S23 got warm, it still worked like the S20.  Camera is great, zoom is great.  I also have no idea what to use the pen for and will likely never use it.

Since I uninstalled SCP ... nothing has happened. Not liking that coincidence.

How's everyone enjoying their S23's?  I love mine so far.  Liking the battery life so far.

Still like mine.  Taking some getting used to due to the larger size. Just put my S20+ into the return kit this morning. Sort of bummed to see that leaving.

Since it stopped rebooting every hour or so I'm enjoying it more! Screen is great, so is the battery life. Feels much bigger than the S21 Ultra even though it's really not. I think it's the square instead of rounded edges. Still not sure what to do with the pen though. Headed to Colorado for some skiing and hopefully some good pictures this weekend!

which  IMEI did you guys use to activate the device / get ESIM?  When i used IMEI1 on the box, the website took it but nothing happened with the device.  When i then tried IMEI2, everything went through. when i type in *#0011# on the dialer, SIM2 INFORMATION is available, SIM state is not Ready is shown for 1, is this the case for you guys as well?

If it's like the S22, eSIM can ONLY be used in  SIM2.

I transferred my SIM over from my S21 and it activated. That was the end of it for me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Got my S23 Ultra yesterday and tired a speedtest on a whim. So far really happy with the phone and the only hitch was that activation took like 2 hours to happen which was annoying.

Edit: this is a few miles away

was 2.4 gigs for me on my ultra.  no problems noticed so far.

2.2 GB for me, but I'm on an unlocked version. No issues so far. Didn't really see the changes that were supposed to come for the camera though.

Looks like the June "super update" is available to install now.  Says it's 2.3GB.  AWF3

The July update is now out already.

    • Yes! That does keep it from wandering off Dish and most importantly, reconnecting immediately (at least where there is n70). Thanks!
    • I have my Dish phone locked to NR-only.  That keeps it on Dish and only occasionally will it see T-Mobile NR SA for brief periods before going to no service. I also don't have mine band locked beyond that, except that I have some of the unused bands turned off just to try to reduce scan time.  Fortunately, my Dish phone is the one with the MediaTek chipset, so it has NR neighbor cells, and I can usually see n71, n70, n66, and sometimes n29 (market-dependent) through those regardless of which band it's connected to as primary. - Trip
    • Excuse my rookie comments here, but after enabling *#73#, it seems that the rainbow sim V2? requires n70 (I turned it off along with n71 - was hoping to track n66) to be available else it switches to T-Mobile.  So this confirms my suspicion that you need to be close to a site to get on Dish.  Have no idea why they don't just use plmn. To test, I put it into a s21 ultra, rebooted twice, came up on T-Mobile (no n70 on s21).  Tried to manually register on 313340, but it did not connect (tried twice). I am on factory unlocked firmware but used a s22 hack to get *#73# working.  Tried what you were suggesting with a T-Mobile sim partially installed, but that was very unstable with Dish ( I think they had figured that one out).  [edit: and now I see Boost sent me a successful device swap notice which says I can now begin to use my new device.  Sigh.  Will try again later and wait for this message - too impatient.]
    • Hopefully this indicates T-Mobile hasn't completely abandoned mmwave and/or small cells? But then again this is the loop, so take that as you will. Hopefully now that most macro activity is done (besides rural colo/builds), they will start working on small cells.
