• Net loss of $765 million for the quarter, $284 million of that being severance packages.
• EPS loss of 19 cents per share versus analyst consensus estimates of 6 cents
• More cuts coming: 2,000 more previously unannounced layoffs

• Postpaid deflections declined significantly in September with net losses slowing by almost 60 percent
• Postpaid gross phone additions grew 37% month-to-month in September
• 800 and Band 41 deployments are on track to meet goals for the end of the year. Capital Expenditures for next year are being revised downward to less than $6 billion.

Definitely good results...I guess the media doesn't care about net additions as much as job cuts so the stock is failing.

Still Post-Paid Losses and Churn is higher than it was in the previous quarter.... It was Wholesale that gave them a gain.... Doesn't speak well of Sprint branding right now....

 

Sprint needs some serious Marketing like yesterday, some serious branding.

On 2.5, he reiterated going forward they are going to be looking at the network and deploying it to the places it is needed first, as well as having several cities that will serve as a proof of concept of a completed Sprint Spark market and marketing aggressively in those markets.

There isn't enough postpaid gains, or at the least stopping the outflow of postpaid. Until Sprint starts getting to the same speed averages as their competitors on averages like RootMetrics and NetIndex, the outflows will likely continue.

Not bad. Not amazing, but not bad.

 

2.5 ghz is still key. Get it out there and get it out there fast. It's an immediate improvement and can keep a customer from switching.

He, and the new Japanese guy head of network should be in a Cisco conference call with the cable companies head of Business class. Why in glue hell I paid for fiber contracts, and many of my towers are still not wired with it.
