New framily commercial

I actually loved that commercial---the first 6 or 7 times. I think the repetitiveness of it wore thin after awhile to be sure.

 

But honestly, if I were Masa and looking to acquire various entities to enhance Sprint's position, I'd go directly to whatever agency Geico uses and buy them out in a heartbeat. There are other insurance agencies with good commercials these days too, but Geico has been cream of the crop for a long while IMO and a healthy distance from all other comers, and even with staying with the first two gecko/caveman motifs have continually branched out with other newer/creative/funny ideas too.

 

Just for the record, The Martin Agency based in Richmond, is responsible for most of the goofy Geico ads.

Looks like Sprint's bringing back KD and adding Jeff Gordon to their add campaign. This could be good.

I hadn't seen any except the Gordon commercial, but just watched both durant commercials. They're actually pretty entertaining for 30 seconds. And the view count on those videos has jumped dramatically.

 

edit: I also love the new color tone they're using at the end.

What blows me away is Clay's meltdown on CNN-FN years ago over running a gym and now having to resort to voiceovers as a hamster for a cellular service provider.

They should make ads like ATT has done, amusing interactions with crews doing upgrades. That's a quick way to explain why service is poor in some areas undergoing upgrades without having to get too technical as to why

I'm still not a fan of the Framily commercials and it is embarrassing to hear coworkers make fun of them and associating me with Sprint. There has to be a better way to get people talking about Sprint.

I just look at my Verizon friends, and flip them the bird with my hand turned sideways. And then I ask them, "Can you hear me now?" And when they give me a look, I say, "Let me turn that up for you!" And then I twist my flip off hand upright.
