Just going to go throw this out there.... this is just a piece of the changes.  The cool piece!!!  Is it June 30th yet?  I also noticed 22429 wasn't added so they can keep hiding it in testing.   -A

Maybe there should be a "Current PRL" sticky thread that is updated by digiblur similar to the NV Sites Map that lists the current PRLs and links to discussions about them.

Definitely weird... I snagged a 2000 along with a few others, some other folks snagged a 2002.  Now you have a 2001.  Odd.  Trying to get some of these to do any analysis on them.

I see one of my biggest pet peeves pervades this thread, too.

 

So, we need to start a "3G" jar. Anyone who calls EV-DO generically "3G" has to put a dollar in the jar that then gets donated to the site.

No, but CDMA1X has always been 3G, too.

 

So, referring to EV-DO as "3G" is akin to referring to Coke as a "cola" -- yet insisting that Pepsi is not one.

My initial suspicions were correct. The weird number is due to an emergency temporary PRL for certain devices. They removed every single bit of 800SMR scans out of the PRL. And yes, 2000 is the standard account PRL with no VZW EVDO roaming. The 2002 is the corporate EVDO roaming PRL. I bet this PRL will be here until they can fire up a bunch of 800SMR after 6/30/13.

 

I bet the 2001 is the business EVDO roaming PRL.

I have a Note II.  I hope this is not some kind of "bug" with the 800 SMR band on this device that they are disabling access to that band.

 

We know the iPhone has a special PRL that gives lowest priority to 800.  I hope the Note II doesn't need complete lack of priority!

rofl my mothers got the note 2, there is 800 launched here and it will NOT connect to it lol. I can't even access PRL write.

I had tons of issues here in Indiana I would connect fine with 800 MHz just no voice or SMS service.

rofl explains y my mothers is 2000. But mines still at 25015

Caesars Superdome, home of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, has deployed a large number of cellular antennas from MatSing as part of an effort to increase wireless network capacity ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl LIX in February, 2025. It is the third such deployment of MatSing equipment at Super Bowl venues in as many years, following cellular upgrades at Allegiant Stadium for Super Bowl LVIII and at State Farm Stadium for Super Bowl LVII. According to the Saints, the MatSing antennas were part of a large wireless overhaul this offseason, done primarily “to satisfy fans’ desires for wireless consumption and bandwidth,” an important thing with Super Bowl LIX coming to the venue on Feb. 9, 2025. Another 16 large antenna spheres of varying sizes and frequencies have also been installed for a total of 32 new large antennas, in addition to 200 cellular antennas inside and around the building, all of these products specifically made for high-density environments such as stadiums and arenas. The DAS system's performance is expected to enhance further as it becomes fully integrated throughout the season. The MatSing MS-48H180 devices, with a black color that matches the Caesars Superdome's roof, each were individually raised by hoist machines to the top of the facility and bolted into place. Each cellular antenna then transmits 48 different beams and signals to a specific area in the stadium, with each sphere angled differently to specifically target different coverage areas, allowing increased, consistent coverage for high-density seating areas. In addition to creating targets in seating and common areas throughout the stadium, these antennas create dedicated floor zones that result in improved coverage to the field areas for fans in 12 field-level suites and the Mercedes-Benz End Zone Club, teams and on-field media and broadcast elements. The project is also adding 2,500 new wireless access points placed in areas such as concourses, atriums, suites and food and beverage areas for better WiFi coverage.
