*shrug* It's the norm around Rancho. Waiting for the rest of the area to be ready for a cluster launch.

It's alright - you don't have to provide an explanation for Sprints Sacramento/Rancho execution. All I know is it's 2014. I was done getting "excited" back in May of last year. I don't care anymore about seeing lifts by towers, issued permits, updated maps, internal rumors from contractor buddies and such.

Instead of being excited when that 4g icon pops up one my two year old LTE sprint device, I'll feel more like it's about damn time. For those who are gonna get all hurt about this coming across as a rant - OptimismYaySprintIt'scomingSoonIBelieveitinmyHeartHappy. There. Non rant.

I was going to go up to the roof on UCD to see if I could get some pictures of the antenna, but had a short conversation with a sprint contractor instead.  He said that they were done with all the towers in Davis and will be doing testing in the next week.  He also said they were going to cluster launch pretty soon.  They will be upgrading the network gear with fiber sometime in the future, but it isn't there as of now.  Sounds like good news to me, but im definitely taking it with a grain of salt based on what has been happening recently.

edit: and just like that, I'm roaming.  guess something is happening

For those (few) of us who are not Sprint customers (yet), or who are customers but for whatever reason have not gotten the text (yet), could someone who received it transcribe the text? I'd like to know what Sprint is finally saying officially about upgrade progress in this market.
