  6. I had b41 in my area near west sac but now there's b25 with a stronger signal, so my speed dropped by about 20x
  7. Got LTE in downtown Davis as well as El Macero today, 2 places I haven't seen LTE before. Also pulled ~30Mbps down indoors with b41 and about -105dB reception in Natomas
  8. What do you mean? What samsung cluster? Davis has been cluster launched already. All that's left is upgrading the last 4 towers with new backhaul.

I ended up getting a wireless sticker from Alibaba for $10. It should be here in another week and a half
  10. Not sure about the length of time it takes to place a call, but keep in mind that the dropped call issue only has a chance of occurring when you go from an area that is cluster launched to an area that is not, or vice versa. Any dropped calls besides that are just because the network sucks :/
  11. Cluster launches are not correlated with LTE. LTE sites can be brought up at any time. The same cannot be said for 1x800/evdo. If they upgrade one of these sites without doing others in the area, you risk dropped calls. This is why they cluster launch areas; you upgrade all of them at the same time so you don't run into that problem.
  12. For me, I can still get it in the same amount of places. It's just the the phone likes to drop to 3G for some reason. Switching to LTE only mode and back works, but it's annoying.

I thought that was all just software eq? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. I was plesently surprised to pick up b41 at the kaiser by Arden today (had to force LTE on my n5,using the .13 radio) even with a weak signal I got a pretty good speed.
  15. Flashed the new .13 radio as well. I was on .23 before, and didn't notice much of a difference between lte reception in the areas I frequent. No b26 around me however. I WAS able to get b41 for the first time though. I'll probably spend a bit of time tomorrow playing around with the .15 radio and see if I can get that to work.
  16. hows the voice quality on it? what about handoffs? edit: just in case anyone wants a page to refresh: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/info-nexus-5-ota-help-desk-t2523217

they wouldn't dare release the exclusive gold color with lower specs, would they?!? I really don't want that color but if that one happens to be the only 32/3 I'll get it and put a skin on it
  20. By channels do you mean inside the frequency range? is it Dynamic? This is literally the first time I haven't lost data or a phone call crossing the causeway since Davis was cluster launched. The problem with this is if they just launched every one as it came up, you'd have dropped calls from sitting still a lot of the time, since your phone can randomly switch IDs at a moment's notice.
  21. Did I miss something or am I understanding something incorrectly? I drove from Sacramento to Davis this morning and wasn't disconnected from my phone call. Does that mean West Sac was cluster launched, or I was possibly connected to Davis towers from way out in the Natomas/West Sac area?
  22. Just a little addition: When I finally got flashing the PRLs to work, I did about 3 or 4 that I would have ever wanted to use and did a TWRP backup of only the EFS partition. You can just simply restore this partition and go back to whatever PRL was there. Saves you the hassle of having to go through all these steps again.
  23. I find it hard to imagine they don't care at all about root. There's a huge community around rooting, and while they might not support it directly, they would likely lose a lot of support and take a big hit in negative publicity from the tech websites. Wouldn't be a good idea for them to all of the sudden prevent root.
  24. This could very well be a reason for the delay: http://androidcommunity.com/chainfire-foresees-rooting-problems-in-upcoming-android-4-4-3-20140519/
