Network Vision/LTE - Upper Central Valley Market (Sacramento, Stockton, Redding, Eureka & Reno/Lake Tahoe)

I have noticed that South Sac, Mack Rd and Franklin Blvd, has great coverage but data is excruciatingly slow. Any work in progress?

There is a cell site with an issued permit on a power line structure along mack road. Could be work in progress.

I snapped a picture of one in the Raleys parking lot but don't know how to upload it. Besides, the equipment looks old.

That's not the Sprint one. Sprints is down the road before the curve and the bridge over the canal.

Ah ic. I was talking to mike an inspector for the city of rocklin and he said he does inspections for the towers as well

Well on my way home my phone pick up LTE by antelope and Roseville rd by Walmart.

@Danny, ya they do have inspectors to make sure that the structures are safe and other stuff. Sprint inspector signs off on actual work on the towers.

@Rage i see, could be bleedover signal from the accepted tower.

Yeah, that appears to be the edge of the accepted sites range. Got reports of cell sites all along the area that are in progress. Hopefully the contractors fill that roseville / rocklin to sacramento stretch of highway rapidly.

It dropped by the pick and pull on north antelope

My guess would be a microcell inside the sprint store.  The sensorly map is completely centered around the store at antelope and roseville rd

Lol. My brothers friend since high school is the mayor of Lincoln. The Upper Central Valley is a huge Market. It's anywhere from Stockton to Oregon, from Dixon to Reno and beyond.

Lincoln is still having all of those problems? Even the school district that I used to work at (WPUSD) out there had problems. The old superintendent years ago was embezzling and they had to cut the budget to make up for the millions that were misappropriated and I almost lost my job in the process. I left anyway when I realized that since I almost got laid off, there was no way I was getting promoted or a raise in pay.

Well, I left at end of 2009.  For a variety of reasons.  My old neighborhood had a fire that stopped at the farm across the street.  Because of the idiots in charge, we had no way out.  They were supposed to build a road so we wouldn't get trapped by the 65 Bypass, but they never did.  So, when the fire hit, it was clear proof that we were dead if it had jumped the road since the only way out was Moore Rd and through the fire.  They finally put in a road, but it's kinda dangerous with how windy it is and how it connects to Moore.  And it's not at the spot where the road was supposed to be.  The road was supposed to extend from one of the two main roads in the neighborhood to Lincoln Crossing.  The new road is outside the neighborhood so if that fire jumped, everyone is still screwed.

On the East side of Lincoln (Twelve Bridges area), there are whole neighborhoods where streetlights are in place down some streets, but then they just stop.  But, the city apparently has those street lamps on its books.  Someone embezzled or did some major fraud on that.  Prolly lots more, but I knew one guy who was really pissed about that cuz he lived where there were no streetlights and he couldn't get any traction with his complaints cuz the city kept saying their records say there were street lights.

I'm sure that's part of why that one Supervisor is no longer there, but my road problem was not the fault of just the supervisor.  The mayor, city council, all those idiots had a hand in not getting that road built.

Moved to Rocklin and have been light years happier.  Don't even have to camp out the night before to enroll my kid in school.  Got a friend to move just a few blocks over from Twelve Bridges to where we are and they're way happier too.

I really gotta try and get some info from Rocklin's Planning Dept cuz I have no idea which tower services this area.

There is a tower in the Lonetree Softball field complex, I know that my brother lives right over there. And there is a tower off Blue Oaks and 65. On another note my phone is sitting here roaming, it never ever roams at my house. This might be a good sign.

Well my phone stopped roaming after some time. No lte but hopefully that was some workers doing their thing since it was in the right time frame to be doing that kind of work.

some pics of the Lower sacramento rd site in lodi

Yep Sprints up there! Very top rack. You can barely see the RRU's up there clearly but the slightly rounded antennas in addition to the fact that they're different looking in comparison to google street view all but confirms sprint is up there! Good one.

    • Kind of amazing that T-Mobile is still holding onto that speed title despite Verizon all but killing off lowband 5G on their network. While Verizon is mostly being evaluated on mmWave and C-band performance, T-Mobile and AT&T's average 5G speeds include their massive lowband 5G networks that are significantly slower.
    • 5G in the U.S. – Additional Mid-band Spectrum Driving Performance Gains T-Mobile holds on to it's lead in 5G Speed
    • Yup. Very true. We were originally on an Everything Data 1500 Plan, which got Unlimited Minutes thanks to Marcelo's "Loyalty Benefits" offer. We then switched to Unlimited Freedom (with the Free HD add-on that Sprint originally wanted $20/month per line for.... remember that?) because the pricing was better with "iPhone for Life", vs. the "Loyalty Credit" for staying on a Legacy Plan. After that, I ran the numbers and switched us over to Sprint MAX, especially for the international travel benefits. There's absolutely no reason for us to switch to Go5G Plus or Go5G Next if we're going to do BYOD by purchasing from Apple/Samsung/Google directly as we've been doing. These new plans aren't priced for current customers to switch to. They're priced for new customers, where they throw in a free line, etc. It's gone from "Uncarrier" to "Carrier". What a shame.
    • Strange business model that they keep around all these pricing plans. 1000s of plans per carrier is reportedly not uncommon.  Training customer support must be a nightmare. Even MVNOs have legacy plans. A downside of their contract mentality I guess. Best to change contracts during a recession. But then all carriers try to squeeze out legacy plan benefits as they grow old.
    • Everything "Uncarrier" is becoming "Carrier" again. Because of the Credit Limit that T-Mobile put on our account for no reason at all (and wouldn't change/update the last time I checked all the way up to the CEO), I don't plan on buying/upgrading our iPhones through T-Mobile. I'm going through Apple directly. Looks like I'll be going through Google and Samsung directly for our other lines for upgrades. Also, we're staying on Sprint Max given the ridiculous pricing for Go5G Plus. On Sprint Max, we currently pay for our Plan: $260 for 7 Voice Lines $25 for two Wearable Lines. (One is $10/Month. The other is $15/Month because the AutoPay discount only applies up to 8 lines.) Total: $285/Month vs. Go5G Plus (Per the Broadband Facts "nutrition label" on the T-Mobile Website): https://www.t-mobile.com/commerce/cell-phone-plans $360 - ($5 AutoPay Discount x 7 Voice Lines) = $325 The Watch Plans show as either $12/Month or $15/Month: https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/affordable-data-plans/smartwatches So this is about the same for the wearables as what we're paying now. Overall, it's quite more than we're paying now to switch plans. Ridiculous....
