I didn't take any new pictures, but if it helps to compare, here are pictures from the Scott County Assessor's office of what the site previously looked like (unknown date, but probably from a couple of years ago knowing how often photos get updated by the Assessor's office).

I am on a road trip down to Florida and stopped in Antioch, TN and I got my first taste of Sprint LTE.

All I have to say is WOW!! I am impressed and it is now going to make the wait even harder :-). Consistent download speed of 12Mbps and upload of 4 Mbps. I could check Facebook and my mail (all 7 accounts) in < 1 min. It would take 5 - 8 mins in the QC to do the same thing.

Looks like quad cities got its first 4g site, just north of the airport on 74, no sensorly yet though :-(

I go by there all the time to go to work.  I will have to look at my phone and see if 4g show's up.  If so i will turn on sensorly to get us on the Map. :)

I love that the qca now has one 4g LTE tower.  :)

later,

John

I happened to be in the neighborhood of the tower on Utica Ridge Road in Bettendorf (Quad Cities) and took a couple of pictures.  It appears the new panels and RRUs have been installed in the middle spot of each sector.  Attached are a couple of pictures.

Having the new panels and rru's installed in the middle is typical. They typically come back 30-60 days after the new panels have been installed and switch them from the middle to ends.

the site is south of john deere going towards the airport on 74,I wonder if it isnt broadcasting yet?

Ya, maybe they were testing it or something. I drive around there 4 days a week for work, I'll keep an eye on my phone and update everyone when I see 4G

I drive I74 to get to work on the back side of the airport.  No 4g yet.  I will keep checking when I go to work.  or when I'm down at south park mall.

Later,

John

My office is right next to South Park mall and no 4g love yet. I did notice the tower next to Fareway/super Saver cinemas (??) in Moline now have panels and did not early last week. Also - the tower next to I74 going south to the airport does have the panels. Any day now!!!!

Checked out the NV site in east Davenport right off Locust - doesn't look like they had the panels up yet. I will keep checking this tower for future changes and when I see something being done I will update. The weird thing is I saw Mediacom running cable a couple weeks ago right at a corner near the tower. I wonder if it is related????

I think Mediacom is the one doing the backhual for Sprint in the QCA.  It is a good chance it was related to the tower upgrades.

Looks like Mt. Pleasant, IA had a LTE site accepted. The LTE tower in Moline is still not turned of this morning - however I have been getting my eHRPD signal dropping all morning, then coming back 5-10 minutes later - anyone else notice this on the Illinois side?  I am really hoping my LTE alarm goes off sometime soon!!!!

On a side note - I will be going by the Bettendorf NV site later today to see what progress they have made. they had some panels under tarp on the ground on Saturday night.
