RCM
ive also been experiencing the drop call issue i called and complained and they gave me some "hush money" they paid my bill for 2 months. but the rep who i was talking to said in detroit they took a few towers offline to upgrade for sprint spark and lte upgrades i dont know if that is true or not but heres hoping No hoping needed. Upgrades are/have been occurring in Detroit metro area with upgraded sites going online all throughout the entire state since this past January. The amount of non-upgraded sites is dwindling fast. vryan44
It is nearly impossible to keep a call in some parts of Troy now. Problem is random sites in the area have been converted while adjacent sites are still on legacy. I don't doubt that the problem will be fixed soon though. CouchFisher
It's day 3 of tower service for Whitehall and Earhart tower in Ann Arbor. I've noticed that my normally 4/4 bars of 3G signal strength has dropped to 2/4 today. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
robisgnarly
gonna get a nexus 5 soon and was just wondering if anyone knows if any spark 800lte are live in midland or saginaw mi?
RCM
There is no 800 anything on our side of the state nor will there be anytime soon due to the International Border Exclusion Zone (IBEZ) with Canada.

RCM
LTE is active in a lot of locations in Michigan on 1900 and plans are for all sites to get LTE on 2600. 800 voice and LTE will only be seen primarily on the west side of the state due to the 100km exclusion zone from the Canadian border. 800 LTE is not active in Michigan at this time but some sites on the west side do have 800 voice. MrZorbatron
Detroit has had WiMax Protection sites active for almost 2 years. The coverage you are seeing in Detroit on Sensorly is definitely WiMax and not LTE. Robert via Nexus 7 using Forum Runner Detoilet has a LOT of LTE coverage area with Sprint. Don't take this the wrong way though , it isn't the perfect network and is massively overloaded such as it is today. However, the geographic coverage is very good and once more than the about 15% of sites that are active with LTE, become active, the game will change in a most dramatic way. Then again, detoilet is detoilet is detoilet...

MrZorbatron
that wouldnt interfere with me getting normal LTE correct, so thered be no reason for me to upgrade my s4 to the spark s4? Spark capable S4 is what I would consider a downgrade. My new note 2 is making me nuts with the number of places where I can't talk and use internet simultaneously. My GS3 was the best. CouchFisher
They're no longer working on the tower. The hoisting line was taken down on Friday. As of yet, no LTE signal to speak of. Anyone know what the typical delay is between hardware install and enabling 4G? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

robisgnarly
Sprint can't do anything about Telus or Canadian Public Safety. I get that..... I just really wanted a nexus 5, but with all i'm reading about the circuit switchback and now no LTE 800 around where i live and work, not really worth shelling out the extra dough for. Extra dough?!?!? Seriously?? The phone that costs 350 total with no contract?? Versus other phones that are well north of 600??The Switched circuit fallback issue is rapidly going away as more and more legacy sites are being switched to NV 3G.

True considering W MI is nearly complete and E MI isn't terribly far behind. I'd dare call CSFB a non-issue across the state. If it were me, I'd get the tri-band anyway. All phones will be going that route anyhow.

I already have an HTC ONE.... hence why it would cost extra dough. I just wanted a tri-band device...... Where i work the 800 lte would make a huge difference in data streaming music. hoagie
They have been concentrating on updating sites to 3G due to the Tri Band issue with CSFB. LTE is not the priority right now.
