  1. They're no longer working on the tower. The hoisting line was taken down on Friday. As of yet, no LTE signal to speak of. Anyone know what the typical delay is between hardware install and enabling 4G? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. It's day 3 of tower service for Whitehall and Earhart tower in Ann Arbor. I've noticed that my normally 4/4 bars of 3G signal strength has dropped to 2/4 today. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah, I know. Honestly, at one point in time I attempted to contribute and it wasn't working so I quit. At this point, my primary concern is the one remaining tower by my office. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Installation Day 2 continues as workers are hauling hardware up the tower on the property of Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor ( North Side of Plymouth Road between Earhart and Dixboro). I have a perfect view right outside my office window. Given that my phone has always been pegged with 3G at this location, I'm inclined to believe that it is a tower that hosts Sprint service and I would like to believe that they are upgrading it to LTE capable hardware. They have to be FREEZING up there!
  5. They're definitely working on it. I'm in that area too and I have noticed issues too. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  6. LTE is lit up in downtown South Lyon. I had 3 Bars inside Busch's grocery store before 5pm today. I'll try to map it out later this week. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  7. I observe the tower located on the campus of Father Gabriel Richard, North of Plymouth Road and East of Dominos Farms. There has been no action. Once that is pushing 4G, North Campus should be good. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  8. I'm approximately 300 yards from the tower N. of Plymouth, E. of 23. I read somewhere that the type of signal will likely change just prior to LTE. I think it's still the old style, see screenshot. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  9. That's a big optimistic disappointment. I work in the vicinity with a clear view of the tower from my office. I can say that nobody has climbed the tower any time recently. I will light up this forum when they do. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  10. I'm not surprised. Sometimes it requires several airplane mode toggles before it locks on 4G. Not easy to do while driving or moving quickly through a 4G area, like when traveling on an expressway. >_> Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  11. Drove from Plymouth and US-23 South to Washtenaw, headed West, then back on to 94 then back North. It was an Airplane Mode Bonanza but it mapped- mostly. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  12. I'm just a few minutes North of there, US-23 and Plymouth Road. So far, no LTE here. Dang it's getting close! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  13. No fear, MWireless is available all over campus. One of the fastest networks around. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  14. I'm not complaining, just amused to see the more remote areas being recognized. I agree with your prediction and reasoning as well. Sorry about living in Toledo, OH. My condolences. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  15. Will do. It will be a while, I'm not back in the office until after the new year. :-) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  16. Perhaps my interest wasn't accurately communicated. I was really just wondering if the antenna tower appears as if it was upgraded for LTE or not. I know some have mentioned there are ways of identifying updated towers. I'll see this every weekday for a long time, just wondering if I should be looking for someone climbing the tower with some hardware in tow? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  17. My office location changed. Right outside my windows about 600 yards away is a tower. My signal meter is pegged so it is probably Sprint. Can anyone confirm? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  18. I know... To my point, exactly! Are contractors required to notify the municipality first? Perhaps there are some public records available online? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  19. I just wish there is some solid proof that Sprint is actively updating towers in the Metro Detroit area. Someone with knowledge of a rollout plan to verify what, where, and when. The only reason I remain with Sprint is due to their integration with Google Voice and the peace of mind that comes with an unlimited data plan. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  20. This month? That would be amazing! I travel the area along I96 between Brighton and I275. So far, nothing here. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  21. We could use a few Fist of Goodness guys roaming The D. Maybe they could stop all the thieves from stealing Sprint antenna and tower parts. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Ditto! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
