Thanks for all the thoughtful insight Robert.  Going to hang on to the Sprint phone as long as possible, it may be that my choice on whether to jump ship or not is whether or not Sprint begins to carry new Nokia hardware.  Pains me to no end to say this, but I was quite impressed with a friend's Windows Phone I got to use for a weekend, and I hate Microsoft.

I like my HTC 8X Windows Phone a lot. My largest complaint is the app availability.

I played with the 8x in the store and I liked all the tiles.  It was really smooth and it was not a gargantuan phone.

I talked to a sprint rep he told me Las Cruces and ABQ 4G LTE should be ready by June.

Sprint reps are the last ones to know anything about that. Your best chance to find out things are to catch the crews working on the tower, become a sponsor for this site, and being patient. Once the fiber is in, that is the best indication of LTE progress after the tower upgrade. Las Cruces current 3G accepted tower have been that way for close to a year now. I don't get to cruces much, I was on the east side a couple of weeks ago. None of the speed test I did indicated fiber at those towers. Good 3G data speeds but the pings were well above 150ms. Sprint will get it done, maybe by June but that is not something the store reps are gonna know.

Sprint is just BAD in Albuquerque.i consistently pull 2+ download speeds in Los Lunas. Eventually Sprint won't suck in Albuquerque. But we are a very low priority for Sprint. And the online CS reps are extra special. I believe they are bots. Sorry couldn't post anything useful, But when you talk about Sprint in Albuquerque. ...nor a lot of positives

Ran into a crew installing fiber conduit for CL. I hope this is part of Sprints and not just T-mobile. Foreman was not to friendly about me asking questions. Anyone have pictures to post of Sprint AAV install? I have a good idea of where it will go just not sure what it would look like.

If it's for CenturyLink, it will be for any CL customer in the area.  So, as long as CL is still the backhaul vendor for Sprint in that area, I would take that as good news.

I have been with Sprint for four years now. I have seen them improve by leaps and bounds since I first started using them. I moved over from Verizon due to their CS and pricing. I knew I was going to be stepping down from a coverage standpoint but I felt it was worth it. Yea I sure wish Sprint was better then they are now, but I am willing to wait it out. I think in the next couple of years it they do not go bust they will be equal to or better then AT&T and Verizon. I just hope after they are done with the NV upgrade they continue to add more cell sites in some of the rural areas in NM. I

I will be looking for their crew. I hope they will have that information when I ask them.

The doctor told me I have been exposed to too much 3G and I might not live too much longer.

I found CL installing the fiber for the T-Mobile side of the tower here in Alamogordo. He said they will be doing sprint but do not have a WO for it yet. There is no AAV cabinet for Sprint yet. He told me they are averaging about 30 days on WO when they get them. So I hope Sprint can get there side done.

By the rate it is going, there is no hope.  I need to start evaluating my service needs.

Where's my lte? Maybe someone at Sprint forgot to flip the on switch. Seems like the fiber is in place to me ;)

I've seen low pings at more than five different sites that I did a speed test. But it's hard to tell because ive seen low pings from towers that were running T1, the tower probably wasnt overwelmed with traffic tho, so its likely that they do have fiber or maybe not.

Just noticed the upgraded equipment near Walmart off walnut and Walton in cruces. They only have 4/6 plugs connected so not sure why the 2 center plugs wouldn't have connectors or be connected. Didn't have sub 100 ms pings and data was low and hard to get but that is essentially a very busy tower.

On a separate note, http://www.engadget.com/2014/03/13/tmobile-lte-expansion/

This might be the reason tmobile is installing fiber.

It is likely that not all the plugs are plugged in because las cruces can't utilize the 800mhz band yet due to location near the Mexican border.

    • The "invalid file format" error is coming from the map server and the no data to send error is from the app, so those are two separate issues. Could you share the files it exported, and share your database from the S21? Putting them in a shared Google Drive folder and DMing me the link is probably easiest, or whatever you prefer.
    • This site is now live as eNB 380787 and gNB 1877974. It was not live in Sept when I drove by the site, so this is a recent activation. Also the confusing nearby eNB 84647 appears to have been upgraded but the upgraded portions weren't live yet.
    • My S24 Ultra and my two S22s are uploading and working properly today, as another data point.
    • My hope is they can spot something in the data that was exported. I am going after all 4 carriers on a multitude of phones and Android versions. My S24 did work.  I have not checked another S24 or S22.  S21s failed which are on Android 14 as well. It should be noted I did not reboot after updates and some of the data was captured on the prior update. Data from some new Boost Mobile Dish (Echostar) sites in the Wheeling area did make it in. Was hoping for more SA data from the duo. Many of the phones are just LTE.
    • I was traveling for a couple of days.   Sunday evening, I upload from 3 phones.  A S-22 and two Moto 5G phones.  Everything looked ok.    How do we explain that?   One person has issues and another person does not.  All my phones have the latest update.
