my local tower verizon and att have pending upgrades since july.  They are about to start.  Base of the tower was hidden by pine trees and shrubs.  They just cleared it out hopefully sprint sends some love in also.

Fantastic update tonight.  Check it out when you guys get a chance.

Anyone find Band 41 yet?  Anyone want to send me their Nexus 5 so I can go find it for you?   :P

are you looking at the sponsor maps, with all the 3g/800 towers in hartford?  Are they LTE too?

I'd rather have 800 than LTE, but with these new triband phones...it will sit on 800 but keep looking for LTE, Hope they roll out band 26 soon!

I've noticed the LTE coverage improve dramatically since I joined this site last year, its great to see LTE nearly everywhere I go (except my house! it'll get there eventually).

I saw that 800 was turned on this week, however I'm not seeing it on my phone (galaxy s3) anywhere in the hartford area. I work at Hartford Hospital and live in West Hartford, so I'm always traveling around this side of the river. I swear I've seen 800 before on my phone when they were testing. Am I missing something?

Interesting, my S3 picks it up no problem all over the Hartford area now.  My commute is along the edge of the coverage area and its getting annoying that it keeps bouncing in and out of coverage since I still have the signal check alert set.

Have you tried a PRL update?

I was at Trinity College tonight for a while, and still, I cant pick up 800 on the standard PRL to save my life on my S3.  I even went roaming.  When I flashed the premiere sponsor prl, I got 800 right away.  I dont get it either.

I've updated the PRL through the phone, but no difference. I'm also on Virgin Mobile, so I believe I can't roam anyway. How can I update the PRL list to something that allows 800?

Ive had a few instances where a call sounded ridiculously clear...first time it happened was about a month or so ago...could be laying ground work for more improvements around town before they announce anything, so maybe the next round of upgrades can be a"major" announcement for a enhanced network.

So I got this on my iPhone 5s I never seen a speed test like that

That's impossible. Both b25 and b26 can not reach those speeds. Only b41 can, and neither the 5s or 5c support b41.

Not to be a downer, but that is literally impossible at the moment.

Thats an excellent question. I am hoping someone can provide further insight into this phenomena because I have no idea how that would've happened other than a glitch.

It's a 7 Meg used test, when on LTE sensorly uses like 30, my guess is just a bad test. What was the result immediately after that one? My guess is real.

Where did you take this test? Should be easy enough for someone to see on the sensorly map.

I got my M8 today, anyone able to point me in the direction of some band 41 yet???

How's things going up in the Locks / East Windsor / Enfield area?  I haven't been paying much attention.  I ended up jumping to AT&T back in October.  Grabbed a G2 on a $60 Go Phone plan, but I'm curious as to the progress.  Also curious how you like the M8?  I've been giving it some serious consideration, but meh the camera.  That was the only thing I hated about the M7.  Despite the great low light sensor 4MP just isn't enough.

Things are actually going pretty well service wise.  The only thing driving me nuts is that Sprint hasnt completed work at Bradley.  Hell, I dont think its even been started.  There appears to be an ecsfb issue up there, because I had to put my M8 into CDMA only mode yesterday to get phone calls to work.  If I was on LTE from a tower in one of the surrounding towns, my calls would just drop.  Rather annoying.  Going to CDMA only fixed it, and since LTE doesnt work in any of the buildings, it wasnt a big deal.

I have no real issues with Sprint except that this one tower at the airport wasnt done sooner/first.  It should of been a priority for them, because during the day, its useless for calls and data.  Once they get the Bradley tower done and live with LTE, Sprint will easily have the best network in Northern CT for reliability.  Everywhere else I go its just downright nasty how good its working.  Thats without B26 and B41 (at least I havent found either yet)

    • You could also just sign up for Project Genesis directly, $400 for the moto edge+ 2023 and $25/month for service.
    • Your referring to the $25.00 a month Infinite Unlimited plan?  I don't see any other plans on there even cheaper than that on their website.  I was looking at the Motorola 2023 Edge fwiw as well for $10.00 a month.
    • A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.
    • Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.
    • Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.
