w00t!!! That should help out the UCF/Research Park/Waterford Lakes area.   :tu:

I have a question concerning Sensorly. Does anyone know why one tower will only read a high of four bars instead of 5 (or max number)? It doesn't matter where you take the reading I can only achieve one bar below the max unlike other tower locations where I can get the strongest of readings. I hope I have asked this question adequately so as not to mix or confuse anyone who might have a good answer.

To clarify sensorly only has a max of 4 bars instead of 5. So my question would concern 3 bars at the tower in instead of 4...

Could be that whatever values Sensorly has established as the minimum for full bars you're not meeting. Especially if they've been using Verizon and AT&T's lower frequency LTE as the baseline.

The tower was just recently upgraded to 4g only, but it's the only one that I am NOT able to get the darkest (most bars) reading for...perhaps the tower is still in a test phase and lower power?

There is still definitely room for improvement in the Orlando market... (Starbucks on Kirkman across from Universal)anabyvu4.jpg

I have always had really atrocious service in that area and have never seen even the slightest of improvements. SMH

Mmmmm starbucks. Also, about  the tower on top of the raddison. I am hoping that how close I am and considering I face that direction directly with nothing but a forest of trees and no buildings, that I should start seeing better service.???Take look at my  high tech picture. The A is the Radisson. I am the blue dot..they've told me I have a mild skin pigment issue due to having partial blueberry DNA

Yea, service in this side of town is worse to horrible. When I get to work @ 0530 im good... but as the parks get filled i go to hair pulling mode. Good thing I have a pc at work to keep me busy.

BTW... what are you 2 doing in my neck of the woods?

I drive everywhere. It's kinda my thing. Like right now I'm in Stuart enjoying the beautiful LTE speeds that makes me want to never leave

I was at the UCF football game last night and other than data being totally useless (LTE and 3G) I did see on my signal check app that I connected to 1x800. My calls and SMS went through with no problems but data was totally useless even when I did have a decent LTE signal (overall it's crap on campus anyway, I usually keep my phone on 3G only because it likes to hold onto weak LTE). Since I was kind of drunk and watching the game I wasn't able to get a screen cap of the 1x800 but I did map the site broadcasting the 1x800 being at Colonial and Goldenrod. Pretty impressive for the site being almost 7 miles away

I'm not just down here for the LTE. Not that dedicated! LOL I'm working. And if I'm in west Orlando it's for school or friends. Or Disney, or universal, or islands...

Same here. I'm often testing Disney's LTE while out in the parks.

Posted ImageThis is what I just got. Oh and I'm uploading from LTE not wifi. My LTE is faster than the wifi in this building right now

Very nice. Coverage is overall pretty good in Weston, but they definitely need 800 LTE to fill in some of the gaps.

Was about 4 miles north of there at Kirkman & Valencia West Campus pulling 7 down / 3 up pretty consistently... that was 4 weeks ago though.

    • A heavy n41 overlay as an acquisition condition would be a win for customers, and eventually a win for T-Mobile as that might be enough to preclude VZW/AT&T adding C-Band for FWA due to spreading the market too thinly (which means T-Mobile would just have local WISPs/wireline ISPs as competition). USCC spacing (which is likely for contiguous 700 MHz LTE coverage in rural areas) isn't going to be enough for contiguous n41 anyway, and I doubt they'll densify enough to get there.
    • Boost Infinite with a rainbow SIM (you can get it SIM-only) is the cheapest way, at $25/mo, to my knowledge; the cheaper Boost Mobile plans don't run on Dish native. Check Phonescoop for n70 support on a given phone; the Moto G 5G from last year may be the cheapest unlocked phone with n70 though data speeds aren't as good as something with an X70 or better modem.
    • Continuing the USCC discussion, if T-Mobile does a full equipment swap at all of USCC's sites, which they probably will for vendor consistency, and if they include 2.5 on all of those sites, which they probably will as they definitely have economies of scale on the base stations, that'll represent a massive capacity increase in those areas over what USCC had, and maybe a coverage increase since n71 will get deployed everywhere and B71 will get deployed any time T-Mobile has at least 25x25, and maybe where they have 20x20. Assuming this deal goes through (I'm betting it does), I figure I'll see contiguous coverage in the area of southern IL where I was attempting to roam on USCC the last time I was there, though it might be late next year before that switchover happens.
    • Forgot to post this, but a few weeks ago I got to visit these small cells myself! They're spread around Grant park and the surrounding areas, but unfortunately none of the mmwave cells made it outside of the parks along the lake into the rest of downtown. I did spot some n41 small cells around downtown, but they seemed to be older deployments limited to 100mhz and performed poorly.
    • What is the cheapest way to try Dish's wireless network?  Over the past year I've seen them add their equipment to just about every cell site here, I'm assuming just go through Boost's website?  What phones are Dish native?
