Network Vision/LTE - Jacksonville Market (including Gainesville/St. Augustine/Ocala)

A hop, skip and jump across the Bridge for you.

If the down-tilt is decent, I could probably get some of that B26 action from my place. It's only a mile or so away, line of sight. This area is so heavily populated, these sites are likely setup for capacity, rather than distance. Although, riverside doesn't have a very dense site spacing and could really use B26 to fill in any gaps.

Was this one taken in Riverside as well? Thanks for posting these!

Nope, the 2nd one was north of I-10, still close to you though.

Speeds good?

I had no issues with Latency going from site to site on the web, so I didn't bother with a speed test.

Here is some more B26.

No. Your phone is not on band 26. You just caught it scanning band 26. The EARFCN 2665 and 8665 clearly puts it in the PCS G block and the null PLMN ID values are a give away as well.

An actual Band 26 connection will be something like this.

Thanks for the heads up on that, this Market is scheduled to be on by the end of this month.(I removed the previous post)

The site on 103rd near 295 is now full build was GMO. Looks like the site crew had to add a support bar for the new panels. Probably why it was a GMO in the first place.

Also, its great to get market updates and can't figure out which sites were upgraded because of the amount of completed sites.

I live in a wimax protection market so only one tower is wimax but recently on sensorly speed tests are coming up on wimax here in areas that previously had no wimax. Good ones too. 31 mbps, 15 ect. What does this mean?

They have real backhaul now.  WiMax was always fast (theoretically faster than LTE), but the backhaul wasn't up to par.

Only 23 sites left in the entire Jacksonville market that is still completely legacy! 15 in Jacksonville, 3 in Ocala, 1 in Summerville, 1 in Beverly Hills, 2 in Gainesville, 1 in Starke. I can't believe my home site is one of them. LTE in home for back up purposes would be nice but I really just want HD voice.

Yea, I can support that reasoning. Since many of us now use wireless phones as our only telephone service (me included), it seems perfectly reasonable to want the HD Voice service at home. :tu:

HD Voice is still limited to inter-carrier calls, correct?
