I'm a business major, so I loooooove meetings.

That's like me saying "I'm a computer software engineer and I loooooove programming!" When in reality I hate my job and wish I was doing something more fun.

Sprint is really slow on upgrading fresno .. I have a buddy who works for t mobile and he says he knows a few people who are doing sprint upgrades and they are having issues with landlords getting to the sites and getting enough equipment to work on the sites .. That there currently on back order ...

So permitting isn't the issue, it's landlords? I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore at what would stop upgrades of anything.

I really want to become a sponsored member but I do not have the disposable income right now, I get a lot out of the site, and I even talked to a Sprint rep at best buy about it and how much amazing useful information it has.

I'm a computer IT guy and I looooooooooove my job, I get paid to play with and on computers all day long so that's a plus LOL

Definintely when I can (My schedule gets insane at times).

They've been digging around the Clovis and Dakota tower this week btw, not sure if that's a good thing or a problem?

I suppose if they're working on it, it's a good thing?

Hi, all. Is Reedley going to get upgraded soon? CVIN just built a new fiber network here, so I wonder if they will be using them as the backhaul provider.

Reedley is already upgraded. They're waiting on whoever was contracted to deliver the backhaul in order to fire up LTE services.

Welcome new member.

As Tim said, back haul is the only hold up for most non LTE sites in the Lower Central Valley. Hopefully before the end of Spring the backhaul will be in place.

    • Was in Red Hook again and I swear there are more Link5G sites as there are Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T small cells combined in the entire neighborhood. It seemed like every other street I turned down had one installed. Hopefully carriers will start hopping on them soon. Seems like a lot of effort to go through for no one to use them.  — — — — — T-Mobile converted the Sprint site on top of NYU Langone Brooklyn in Sunset Park. I first mapped one sector of it back in November 2023 but I thought it was a small cell so I never pinned it but I ran into another sector today which caught me off guard. I'm unable to find a permit for the conversion so it's definitely a surprise. There's another T-Mobile site 1 block away that T-Mobile initially installed back in 2019 so I'm kinda surprised they're keeping both considering the Sprint conversion is on a much taller building and coule potentially provide much better coverage to the entire area.
    • Still not seeing any ULS postings for pending T-Mobile UScellular merger in Dane county Wisconsin.
    • Came across another Crown Castle Solutions multi-tenant oDAS node in Brooklyn. Located at 40.7002286, -73.9612666. Nothing on T-Mobile or AT&T so I'm assuming these are all Verizon nodes that Crown Castle is anticipating another carrier will hop on down the line.
