  1. Well, like I said over in AndroidForums, I'll repeat it here, I finally got my Galaxy Note. and at the risk of being boo'ed off the forums lol I have to say that "what a phone". This is not to say I am leaving Sprint, on the contrary, I still have 3 lines left with them and don't plan on ditching them. I still see network Vision on track and like what I see coming in the near future. But since seeing this phone in the AT&T store almost a month ago in person, I knew I had to get it whether on Sprint or AT&T. Speaking of which, I swear the phone got bigger since I last saw it. lol But after a day playing around with it and trying to reconfigure the screens to my desire I guess my eyes readjusted to its size. Speaking of size, man, there is no way no how I can ever go back to a smaller screen. This thing is awesome. The display is on par with what I saw on the EVO 4G LTE, crystal clear, sharp, blacks are black etc etc. Being that I always used two hands with my phones usually, going to the Note didn't phase me. The GPS works rather well and I'm getting a very good signal from AT&T's LTE network here in NYC. Speaking of which, once Sprint gets LTE here, I am sure folks will love the speeds. The pen/stylus is awesome and reminds me of the good ole Windows phone days but so much better. I figure it this way i am not ditching Sprint, I am just getting acquainted with the device and preparing myself so when Sprint does get it, I'll be prepared and know the ins' and outs of the device. Yep thats the story I'm sticking to. So yes, this die hard Sprint guy has a foot on the other side of the fence only to grab a tool to use for the meantime, but will eventually (hopefully by years end) soon be both feet planted on the right side of the fence. 2. As the very first premier sponsor, I can attest that I did it just to contribute to the sites financial well being. No strings attached nor expected anything in return. I like the content that it gives, the professionalism by the members, both those that work in the field and those that don't. For those that know me from other sites, they know I don't have hair on my tongue and will speak out if a site is worth joining, contributing and or donating. It's refreshing to see a forum so well maintained and the dedication put into it by all. Of all the forums I've encountered or worked in, only two are like that. Androidforums and this one. The decision to place the maps in a sponsor only viewing section is mainly because of two things... 1-Give those that donate to the sites' upkeep, a benefit of seeing where the roll-outs are happening. 2-Any donation however small or large contributes to the sites' costs, since its a private site with no ads. Eventually, I believe, the sponsor section will probably be increased to include other stuff. TS

  7. Interesting. I have Time Warner cable, but I think Sprint does offer a home service too here, never thought of checking them out. Also I've seen Clear advertise here in the NYC area. I didn't know they were here. TS
  8. ^ That is true. Look at the HTC One X, the Sprint version is so much better, so I wouldn't doubt it. Well I frankly can't wait, so tomorrow I am going to the AT&T store and check out this hermaphrodite device and decide whether to get it in white or black, Then head back to the office and order it on Amazon (at a cheaper price).. What I don't know is how the porting of a number works. I have 4 devices on my account and one of them will be given up for this phone, Don't know if porting the number to AT&T would mess up something on the account or any of the other lines. TS

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

Well when the HTC EVO 4G LTE comes to your nearest store, i suggest you go check it out. It may just make you think otherwise. You may not get it, but it'll change your perception of HTC back when they had the Hero. That's how good it is. TS
  10. So basically no one so far has one line on Sprint and the other (like for work) on another carrier. wow I would think there would be more than 0. TS
  11. Without starting a flame war, I am curious. I know that some of you would probably have two phones one each from a different carrier. A few will say that's not possible or simply ridiculous. But there are a few that due to work must have one carrier and their personal one is another. Therefore, 1-of those that have two phones from different carriers, what are the carriers? (i would assume one of them is Sprint) 2-Since your work phone (most likely) isn't Sprint, and use it more throughout the day, why haven't you switched to that other carrier? The same can be applied in reverse eg: if work phone is Sprint and mobile is another carrier, why not keep one phone? 3-For those that have no 2 phones on 2 separate carriers, then what other carriers have you used in the past. TS
  12. lol Wait a minute, that's not the Galaxy Note, that's the Galaxy Fridge. lol TS
