  1. And today the 800 is gone... So is lte in my area. they must be doing some optimization in the area. There are two trucks sitting at my tower hopefully working on backhaul (3g only). Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. Been locked on all night here at my house. Hopefully the launch is starting... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. Been seeing a lot of 1x 800 today in Albany and Syracuse. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. The main problem is that reps have no authority to restrict sales to only contract or ezpay customers. At least with ezpay is you can just pay it off immediately after signing up... however it is an inconvenience.
  5. Sprint reps do not know when lte800 (or any nv upgrade) is coming. We have some schedule maps in premier but really they do not mean much. You will know it is coming when it starts popping up in your area.
  6. Yeah but contracts are only for old plans. This way of thinking needs to change.
  7. Don't really care about the flip phones but my smartphones were: Moto mpx200 (at&t) flip smartphone htc dash (t-mobile) htc mogul (sprint) htc touch pro (sprint) htc touch pro2 (sprint) htc imagio (verizon) htc droid incredible (verizon) htc evo 3d (sprint) samsung galaxy s2 epic 4g touch (sprint) samsung galaxy nexus (straight talk) samsung galaxy s4 (sprint) lg nexus 5 (sprint) The incredible was one of my favorite phones ever and used it the longest, almost 2 yrs. Of course it was my first android which was quite a departure from windows mobile.
  8. Unfortunately these phones are not released on a 12 month cycle. Iphone has only done this once although they have been much more consistent then samsung. Still you could easily be waiting 13 or 14 months before that new phone comes out.
  9. I think this is all part of plan A which includes a T-Mobile merge along with rural partnerships. Once everyone is compatible and financially dependent it makes even more merges likely in the future. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. I can see their point as reps could easily sign people to an existing framily when they were willing to start a new one on their own.
  11. This is not an 'upgrade'. It is simply selling your phone back to sprint for the amount of your balance. Using that term confuses people who are used to the subsidized upgrade model. In most cases selling your phone privately will be a better deal + the odds of wanting a new phone at precisely 1 year is pretty low which makes it even worse. Honestly I don't see why they add the unlimited requirement to do this as it really only benefits sprint.
  12. They aren't... The guy is lying to you. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. I have found some in Albany as well. Looking at the map you can see 800 acceptances coming in from the east and south... I suppose they could be coming this way
  14. Yes, Framily is month to month. At 12-23 months you have the option of turning in your phone and buying new, or paying it off and keeping it.
  15. There have been many posts/threads discussing this over the past few months. What specifically about easy pay has you confused?
  16. Just do a time lapse of one tower upgrade then a time lapse of Roberts map from start to finish.
  17. 2/3 for lte is how i heard it. legacy sites will be pretty much done. With only 3 months to go that sounds about right.
  18. Wow I'm surprised this is still here. Staff must be sleeping... Honestly if the rep doesn't know what they are doing simply hang up and try again.
  19. I think everything is progressing nicely. As much as we want backhaul competed there isn't a whole lot they can do about it. Would not do much good to pull everyone in to one area if they would all be sitting around waiting for permits. What they can do is rush 800 voice and lte on completed sites to help fill in some of the gaps.
  20. They are both pretty shady. Doesn't really matter if they are one company or two.
  21. Word is upgrades are going away soon so I would get something now.
  22. I don't see sprint doing any band-aid ripping any time soon. Killing subsidy will get most of the hold outs to either leave or find a framily. One thing they could easily do is crack down on tethering... this is what brings down the network more then anything. 1 warning then close the acct with all termination fees due.
  23. No you can buy outright or pay off at any time. The monthly payments or trading in is completely optional.
  24. Iphone uses a different size sim I believe. I would get a new one.
