  1. Is anyone else seeing a different Sprint.com website? It looks totally different, at least on the main page? This URL should get you there: http://www.sprint.com/tnt22/index-base.html
  2. My wife and I both have 2-Layer cases on our phones and Wireless Qi works just fine. My wife has an Otterbox Defender on her Verizon LG G3 with a Nokia DT-900 Qi Charger and it works perfectly. I also have a Seidio Dilex case on my G3 and it works alright, but the phone has to be lined up just right for it to work. It is still a heck of a lot more convenient than plugging in every night. I previously had various dual layer cases on my Nexus 5 and they worked just fine for wireless charging. The charger in use may be the key. The DT-900 has three coils for charging. Most Qi chargers only have one.
  3. It looks like in the Hickory area, Sprint has only PCS Blocks A, D & G. Thanks for the links!
  4. Same story here since moving from suburbs of Chicago to North Carolina. I love the potential Sprint has, so I would rather not leave for another carrier. I don't know what the spectrum situation is in my neck of the woods, but a 2nd B25 carrier would be very useful here.
  5. I went ahead and called the Executive Services guy back. I went with the 80GB plan and waived access fees on 6 lines until the end of 2015. It will save me some money and I like the flexibility of being able to cheaply add a tablet or hotspot device to share the data. I have until 3/18 to change my mind and keep ED1500 as the plan change takes effect on 3/19.
  6. Can this new Moto E LTE be activated on a Family Share plan or will it be Sprint Pre-Paid only? Looks like a nice device for a great price.
  7. Sprint Executive Services is offering to extend to me the previously expired, as of 2/13/2015, Double Data promo to give me 80GB for the price of 40GB, which is normally $150, minus 10% discount = $135. Add the $22 for TEP on two lines and it is $157 plus taxes, fees, etc. With 80GB, I'll have enough data to use for quite a while. I offload to WiFi whenever possible anyway. I could probably even drop the insurance and save $22 as all lines would be eligible for Easy Pay/Full Price device upgrades right away, if I understand correctly.
  8. I'm looking at the option of switching from ED1500 to Sprint's Family Share Plan and would like your opinions, please. We currently have 6 lines on ED1500 (10% Credit Union Discount) paying $303.82 w/TEP on 2 lines, taxes, fees, etc. and we use between 15-25GB of shared data. I'm thinking about switching to the Family Share plan to save some money and to have the flexibility to share data with tablets ($10/mo). Plus it would be nice to be able to use the hotspot feature on our phones. After speaking with someone at Sprint Executive Services, I was offered the option of switching to Family Share, getting Double the Data (40GB plan is doubled to 80GB) and the $15 fee waived until 12/2015. My monthly bill would be $157 (plus taxes, fees, etc.) until the end of 2015. After that, it would be $247 plus taxes, fees, etc. which would be approximately $282/month. Alternatively, I could go with the 30GB/60GB doubled for about $18 less per month. Given what I was offered, would you switch to Family Share?
  9. $304 for 6 smartphones on ED1500 + Airave 2, which is "Free", +2 devices have $11 TEP, -10% Credit Union Discount, includes Taxes, fees, etc. Family Share is calling my name, but only if Double the Data promo comes back on the 32 or 40GB plans. Right now we use between 17GB and 25GB each month.
  10. I would like Sprint to start a "Project Blue" to bring service to the Blue Ridge Mountains!
  11. I received something about that. It seems they wanted to throw us a bone, then they took it away. That loyalty program appears to have expired on 1/15. I took the unlimited minutes, which really doesn't benefit us as we never used more than 100min across 6 lines. I know they don't really owe us anything. It would just give us the warm and fuzzies if they would say thank you with a 1 Year deal like that. Especially when they were offering it to select customers in the past: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9010449/Photos/wwwphotos/Screenshot_2015-02-24-15-29-45.jpg
  12. I tried and failed. I tweeted to SprintCare last night and they called me today. Told her what I was looking to do and she said that those promotions (Waived $15 access fee and Double Data on 32GB+plans) have expired and that there was nothing they could do to switch me and save me money for 1 year. I can see how a regular Sprint customer would just say adios and switch to another carrier who will pay their ETF's. Sprint should empower their representatives to offer retention plans or perks to keep long-time customers on-board. I am disappointed, just like my friends on Facebook who post complaints about Sprint's customer service, who then leave and boast about their new carrier and the superb customer service they receive. It makes me sad to see Sprint not taking care of its customers.
  13. If I switch from ED Family 1500 to the new Family Share 32GB, will Sprint waive the $15/month for my 6 devices currently shared if I add a tablet or mobile broadband device?
  14. The RadioShack closest to my house is staying open, which is a big relief as there isn't anywhere else to get "hard to find" items around here. In all honesty, Sprint can take up 1/3 of the store and not even touch the regular RadioShack inventory. Out of the three RadioShack stores in the small-ish Hickory metro area, only one RadioShack is closing and that is located at Valley Hills Mall.
  15. Sadly, our experience was not the same as yours. Disney's WiFi has been terrible, up and down quite frequently. The signal is there, just no Internet. We checked the WiFi connection on three different devices and spoke with other guests who confirmed the same issue. In addition, the My Disney Experience app/system has been down almost as much as it has been up. Disney's IT department needs to get it's act together. This was the same poor experience as in June and November when we visited the parks.
  16. My wife and I are staying at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and the service is pretty bad in the guest rooms in the Casitas 3 Building with-103 to -106 on 1xRTT and -97 to -103 for useless EVDO. When I make a call 1x800 kicks in and I get a -88 to -94 signal. Only rarely will I pick up LTE800 in the room near the window and we are facing the lake. I'd hate to be in a courtyard room facing another building. For reference, my wife's Verizon LG G3 has some difficulty with voice calls too, but LTE shows "two bars" as I don't know what her exact signal level is. Data works for her, but is slow. Is 1X800 and LTE800 at full power here yet?
  17. In the Chicago suburbs and this part of North Carolina, the remaining Radio Shack stores are not usually situated in ideal locations. I am very happy to hear that they are looking to expand their retail presence. IMO, that is one of at least two areas where Sprint needs to improve. The other is expanding and increasing the density of their native coverage beyond what the RRPP will do for them.
  18. Thanks to the Catawba County website, I know that the tower on my in-law's property, which is basically my backyard, is getting band 41 soon in Conover, right next to I-40 @ Exit 132. Permit Approved: "Sprint proposes to add 3 antennas and fiber to tower; and batteries to existing equipment." which has to be for B41 since NV 1.0 is complete on the site http://inspector.catawbacountync.gov/Reports/Tidemark/rpermitdetail/CRHTML_76.0.157.119_76.0.157.119_rpermitdetail.rpt20150115103259.htm
  19. Apparently this is only for targeted accounts. I got 4 different answers in the same number of phone calls. I was told I could add a tablet for free and be eligible and have the access fees waived, then I'm told I can't. I'm so frustrated. Their customer service still needs a lot of help. The supervisor told me that because we used 21GB of data, we weren't targeted as the promotion has to be the 20GB plan. I say that's ridiculous.
  20. I called and was shot down on waiving of the $15/line. They said it was a promotional offer. I may call Account Services to see if they can do anything for me. Perhaps it could just be that I need to play CSR Roulette. Some may know more than others.
  21. Great! Thanks for the reply. Did you call or go to a Sprint store to make the change?
  22. I've been thinking about contacting Sprint to see if I can switch from ED1500 Family and still have the access charge waived for my 6 lines. The problem is, I just upgraded to the G3 back in July and used my subsidized upgrade. Will this reduce the possibility of Sprint waiving the access fees? Also, does this include legal tethering?
