  1. I was on my nexus 5 at the time. I got a nexus 6 coming. It worked as it should picking things up. But ya between interbay to the space needle area were I was staying I had B41.. I was driving at the time but I also picked up two more sites driving around safeco field to western ave.. Seattle is defiantly hopping with TD-LTE now...
  2. Was up visiting Seattle around the Interbay area and had nothing but B41 while I was up there. It was pretty solid, gotta say.. 30-40mbps; 10-15 inside at half signal. Was pretty happy with what I had picked up..
  3. Browsing my daily reddit I came across this. Sprint Nexus 6 information Basically outlining models, sim card, and potential availability at best. Not all the information in the world, but with sprint holding out, ill take what I can. I have been seeing reports that much like tmo they will offer the 32GB white model, but nothing on the 64GB.. So unsure on that tid-bit..
  4. well over on Engadget I been getting into it with the apple fan boys because "apple" re-invented the wheel again with NFC they think that Google wallet isn't safe.. Apparently as there iphone users they yet to realize how few NFC payment places there are, in my area alone I can name possibly 3 business that do. So maybe now that apple has thrown money at it (not inventing) I may see more. Secondly none of them understand how the NFC works on android / wallet and the fact that none of your actual information is saved and is also encrypted. the SE chip scrambles this info, you have to have your gmail account signed in, which is also protected by outside IP logins, then you have a pin# you got to deploy. Then we get into the actual payment transfer on NFC and the fact that when this data is transferred its scrambled/encrypted until it receives on the POS side and not NFC.. With that said, If people are going to take numbers there going to take numbers.. Look at all these data breeches at retailers, banks, etc.. Its the opposite end of a money transaction, they don't need the cards to make it happen. to summarize, NFC is NFC, Tap and Pay is well; Tap and pay.. It doesn't matter if its apple or google.. There both secure. They both serve the same damn cause and effect. One came before the other. lol. and on this topic, I wouldn't mind trying softcard, but I really have this if its not broke why fix it? Wallet has worked perfectly outside of a few ??? transaction (McDonalds was my best one, double payment? luckily Google stores the transaction on my account so they reversed it..)
  5. mostly all the ones owned my bonneville damn admin in portland/vancouver have been done now.. there be 1 or 2 left.. Now the questionable ones are the Clear sites that could exist one em, I know of 1 for sure that sits at a dog park i frequently go to, I cant find permits for my area as the site has gotten butchered badly, but I know there upgrading my metro area based off the portland ones that were found. soooo ?? who knows
  6. Well this could go into realm of typically. But not sure if this will be the case and I do remember the posting for n5 being submitted via lg and not google as they were manufacturer. Google only designs and agrees with it, the manufacturer submits the follow up.
  7. Not to argue as I agree with most your posts but your comparing two entirely different companies. Moto for the most part doesn't typically, I say that due to the fact they have posted some earlier then others, but they usually post within a month of release. That lg fiasco was bad, and they had a very similar release again the g3. Looking back at moto x for example FCC filing was July 26th'sh announcement followed weeks after and release September. Following that as a guideline I'd say we most likely will see a filing towards mid/end sept then googles announcement. But just opinion
  8. I'm going with Moto x+1.. Were still a few months from OET / FCC on the Nexus X/6/or wtf model you want.. The X+1 is only a week away.. So I would suspect to see a bunch of OET / FCC postings coming.
  9. your pictures confirms what I was thinking. I think they just did a site by my house to, sadly I didn't have time to stop and chat / take pictures... The other issue is this site also has a concealed antenna shield of sorts that blocks me from seeing the actual antenna.. I kinda can see the cables and what appears to be 8 cables but honestly its hard to make out.. Its been upgraded for the past 3 weeks now and nothing has been turn on at this point.. Keep us posted on that tower and if you get b41 anytime soon? I don't think they have gotten to the point of turning it on yet.. This tower by me is less then a half mile away.. So I should get some dang good signals off of it, even inside my house.
  10. well the #4 on the framily plan issues is spot on. It took me and a family member 30+ days of fighting with sprint to loop hole merge our accounts to make 1 framily. Since then I've brought 5 new customers to sprint and maxed out my framily ID, netting them more business at the end? Was it worth it to them to push me out 30 days to merge a account? probably not? should they fix it? yes. Far as network optimizations are concerned. Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA metro area is pretty close to being "upgraded" I think we have a few lingering sites around us that need either a back haul to flip on 4g. We also have 90% of our sites with 800smr there already (3g, 3g 800smr, 4g) I'm hopen to see 800 LTE soon? but who knows... Like everyone else the 800 LTE will fix the 1/4 mile overlaps between towers that I experience 3g now? outside that I'm on 4g most of the time. I didn't bring up band 41 stuff because its hard to say.. I've seen activity at a few of my sites but they are also shared sites and I don't see what appears to be 8t8r equipment or least a upgraded clear b41 antenna? So not sure if ill even see it this year in my area at this point... Maybe I will? idk
  11. I got a 10 framily account. Took my bill with 3 people down to 165 from 230. That's insurance on all 3, and 2 have 3gb data, 1 with unlimited.
  12. Pretty sure all the upcoming chips past the 805 are integrated solutions. Somewhat the reason why you haven't seen crazy adoption rate of it in the first place. My suspicion is that it will land in "most" of these 5.5" devices coming. End of this year we will see the 600 series and 808/810 rolling out... Kinda a wash honestly.
  13. I did it. After spamming there twitter and support lines. The main supervisor called me from Kansas city and set it up. Switched my address to a po box # added my other account to my framily plan and was done. They also gave me credit for all my trouble and waived fees. Took my bill from 235 to 165.
  14. Last I remember reading on the topic of the FCC approval; it has to do with spectrum holdings. Can't site it, but I did read it on s4. Basically its been thrown down that in order to have any chance in future auctions and or merger sprint would have to let go in an agreement "spectrum". Now i'm not sure if this would be doable by lets saying T-mobile letting there 1700 go? leaving them to there 1900 / recent 700 holding? This would then allow them to later bid for 600mhz I'd assume on a equal playing field unless wheeler made a decision against that. Also the other group that would have to approve this is the DOJ... They would have a side with the FCC with what ever they decide to run with. However, they would also probably throw down the combining of the two companies as an issue, leading to a potential monopoly (even though it wouldn't). So not sure how Son plans to counter that honestly, but the FCC seems the easier fix of the two. lol
  15. honestly the solution to me is simpler. They would just re-brand tmobile infrastructure to LTE, migrage to dual sim devices for comparability (already exists over seas, cost would come down due to 2 carriers using it in the states) and profit. The cost of network shutdown / migration is what concerns me honestly, just cant fathom it being all to cost effective in the end unless tmobile / sprint agree to sell off a part of there spectrum? just look at wimax shutdown / migration and the years between the overlap. 3-4 years and customers would be primarily on new devices except for that 10% crowd and it would just be the hand to take for them to upgrade or jump ship if you would. If t-mobile is will to gamble contracts i'm sure there willing to throw new devices at consumers in the event of an merger / shared network?
  16. I also have the screenshots of all this as well. It wasn't just one area of Vancouver... It was there entire cluster it appeared.. I work out at 192nd AVE and all the way from east side of town to west side over in Hazel Dell were I lived they had 800mhz live. Then I woke up on Saturday and its all gone and back to 1900mhz ! DAFUCK So I'm assuming there in there early stages of testing and working on that, hopefully in next month or two we will see them flip it all on.
  17. I'm really hopen this Nexus 5 D820 actually pans out to be true and blue for sprint bands. Tri-band and a nexus + top shelf specs. Sign me up! if not i'll most likely wait until next year when HTC / Samshit may introduce something. I really got my hopes high atm that the d820 is the real deal, so far the d821 manual seems to be more of a international version.
  18. My trip to Idaho seemed mind boggling. Ton of legacy around and then down the way new. Found it easier to toggle airplane mode to fix. In Portland area its seamless, barely any issues.
  19. Theres only 2 towers in vancouver that are active to my knowledge. The one near hudson bay high school that sits by the blind school. Then the one out by 192nd ave, 1st street, wal-mart and cosctco.. The tower is located by the mining area there on the left side as your going north on 192nd. At the walmart I was averaging outside (no interference from inside building) I was getting 25-35mbps.. Inside the walmart i'd average 7.5 to 11.5mbps.. I also was able to retain this signal up to the 162-164th dog park and the speeds outside there were around 7.5 to 10mbps. My Google+ profile has pictures.. This was done my HTC One. https://plus.google.com/photos/100388621271214307713/albums/5874246486486529201 Not bad imo... Now A bit better description of my house area, Between NE 112th ave (near forestry and state police) and 137th going towards fourth plain theirs a tower that sits in the middle of both sides on right side of 4th plain going east, I believe this tower may be in progress of upgrades right now as both my Galaxy nexus and my HTC One recently went from EVDO Rev A to eHRPD in the last week 1/2.. I do know from readings that its not a sure fire way of telling but it may be an early sign at least. Issue with this tower is it sits in a lock and storage thing on private property so pictures are super hard to get of the base stations and what not and Its hard for me to make out the Panels for any NV style on it.
  20. Yeah the tower out by the 192nd Wal-Mart and Costco went live. I also know it's not a sure fire indicator but my phone went from evdo rev a to ehrpd this week the area is near 137th and gher road, by state forestry. So maybe soon I hope. :-)
