  1. I take Robert's position. Look at where Sprint was two years ago versus today. For us on S4GRU, we know that when the new network is fully opertional, Sprint will become the flagship of the US wireless industry, not the bottom feeder that many believe it to be. Mr. Masa will make it so...
  2. With the market percentage Apple has lost to Samsung and Google over the past few years, I believe they cannot afford to underwhelm with the next release of iPhone. The phone needs to have all of the features of Spark, plus other perks to outclass their rivals. If they do not in this next release, they will set themselves back several years and may never catch up. I remember waiting for the next upgrade for BlackBerry for over a year and it did not happen. My BlackBerry was becoming unreliable so I switched to the iPhone 5. Now, RIM is not even close it used to be. I just do not want to be on the side of the dinosaur again. Apple needs to be on the front edge of the tech wave. not in the aftermath of a tsunami.
  3. I too have had an issue with my iPhone5 not holding the correct time. It will jump to EDT (on CDT). I did the same as Josh and turn off the automatic setting. My phone did update when the time change happened Sunday morning.
  4. I agree. Get the infastructure in place first. This reminds me of where I live. Developers built a very large community and shopping area a few miles away from me but the city did not upgrade the infastructure for almost two years. It was a complete mess. Nobody wanted to go there with the traffic issues.
  5. Kind of funny that the article said big blue was first. Sprint did it several months ago did it not with Spark?
  6. I am too. I am glad to see that Apple aligned themselves with another company to produce the chip.
  7. An interesting article I found rhis morning of the rumored new A8 chip: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/tech-news/hardware/TSMC-starts-production-of-iPhone-6-processor-Report/articleshow/31471210.cms
  8. I agree with Digi. I am not in development (I sell it) but one of our best developers does not have a degree. He is self taught and started his first job right out of high school. He has told me just because you earn a degree or self taught in this field does not mean you are finished. Technology changes almost everyday. You have to stay ahead of the game.
  9. I am also ready for spring. Several school districts around Nashville delayed opening this morning due to the cold. (3 degrees at the homestead this morning) What the heck? The kids today have the mindset that it is ok to just complain or give up if you are not comfortable with it. They will have a different view of the world once they actually become a part of it and they are told to suck it up.
  10. That alarm would pair well with some poor Japanese animation...
  11. Current - 2008 Chevy Tahoe Dream - 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake
  12. 5.5 down and 1 up in downtown Nashville currently. I am indoors and the signal is ok.
  13. That may be true. Falling back to Robert's statement of under promising then over delivering. I know Josh has been staying on top of new developments (thank you Josh) with tri-band phones. With our federal government in neutral, it will only further delay any new phones being tested and/or approved.
  14. I agree. Moffett's statement has no proof of how he came to that conclusion. Heck, I would get better information from the palm reader down the street.
  15. I have had an issue with the automatic time setting defaulting to EDT instead of CDT with my iPhone. I am currently using the manual setting for Central time.
  16. Sprint lists a market as live with LTE when 50% of the market is ready. They are still in the process of upgrading the area. Work is continuting and probably not be finished until early to mid 2014. Remember the Nashville market extends from Unicoi county to the Tennesse River west of Nashville.
  17. It can be very soon or take several months. It all depends on when the backhaul (fiber optic cable) is completed, the tower inspection and several other variables that need to happen. It can be frustrating but is worth it when it is finally complete.
