  1. Everyone thinks sprint is a bad investment, while right now on paper it doesn't look great. But they finally made a little of a profit and they still have good customer numbers. I have been thinking about getting some sprint stock too, I know in a few years. I would be mad at myself if didnt, also softbank didn't buy a company to lose money. We all know by the end of this year 100 million people covered with band 41 and it will keep growing. Getting better right day in my mind :)

  2. my report from the air and water- I was mostly on band 25(at oak street beach), I went to the second carrier a few times and was on band 26 a few times too. regular and second carrier didn't get much over a few mbps, band 26 was 5-6 mbps the few times I speed tested it. Over all I was able to get on twitter and do everything I wanted, with how many people were there and no band 41. It wasn't to bad, I really wanted band 41 too. Next year there will be though :)

  3. Anyone go to the air and water show today? I'll be there tomorrow and I'll report how service is with 500,000 people on a beach. I'm using an android this year because the nextradio app is a lifesaver. I won't need data for the audio stream, and I'll only need enough data to refresh their Twitter feed which I hope by this stage of network vision will be attainable even with that many people.

I will be there tomorrow also, I was curious about the data and everything too

  4. Exactly my point.  San Diego hasn't seen a single 8T8R.  Folks in Chicagoland already getting 2xB25, B26, and B41.  Should be happy the fact Chicago is coming along and will be better this year.   We in San Diego will have to wait until next year to see any improvements.

The city that uses Sprint as the primary provider and our indoor coverage is f*in shit.  Chicagoland folks, your lucky!.  That is all I can say.

Once 8T8R is up and running, which is already spotted in Chicagoland, correct me if i am wrong.  It is a matter of average 50Mbps+ speeds from every site in the city.

That is just clear b41 with good backhaul, 8t8r as far as I know aren't turned yet. I have been on clear b41 site with good backhaul and gotten 70 plus

  5. I guess I feel as if sprint has had MORE than enough time to fix it's network and it's still not up to par.. Band 26, just came online about 2 months ago, and I'm still having reception issues at places with this new band that's supposed to help fix things. I have an iPhone 5c.. So the radios in my phone are strong.. Sprints network is apparently not living up to the hype... I find new charges in the bill that make the service not worth the price..

I am not going to tell you to stay with sprint neither, yet as premier member you know they aren't even totally done with band 26. Also that they haven't even turned up the power all the way on the 800 sites yet. I have a feeling when they do, it will be great. You know sprint's network is going to be one of the best networks around in a few months. But again, do what is best for you.

  6. That is the one thing I always knew would be a issue with network vision, the way they ordered the backhaul. Sprint should have ordered in the beginning like robert said, a lot of there network would be done. It is so sad, how everyone thought they were doing a good job and yet. They messed up this part, which is a big part of network vision.

  7. I did see some COWs but couldn't really tell what carriers they were for. Didn't really look at them too much either because honestly my mind was elsewhere... Lol

I bet!! Between the music and the girls. Who wouldn't be looking at other things then the cows lol

  8. Let the Frenchies have it!

Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro

I am with robert! Let the Frenchies have it, with the cca and all the partners sprint and the nv 2.0 or as some call it 2.5. I think sprint is in a great position to go against att and verizon. It maybe a year or two before people start noticing how great sprint is, but still.

  9. When will sprint start the optimizations?

It really will all depend on the area and how much of the band 26 is done. Get area like chicago and that will take awhile before they start optimizations the area. Yet a town with only there 3-4 four sites, that will go a lot quicker. I am getting just exicted as you for them to start opitmizations the area, I still have a few areas that I travel in that I get 3g and I know all it needs is the b26 to be turned up to higher power level to reach/cover that area.

  10. Aye you don't gotta get rude bro it was just a question.. Give up then?

2500/2600 is specturm that sprint is deploying their fast lte network on. There is a lot of areas on the this site to help you out more. But it is basically network vision 2.0. It is sprints game changer and with this new 2500/2600 equipment your looking at average speeds of 50/60 mbps per a second. Sadly your iphone 5c cant get it though :(

  11. I can't tell if its Sprint's 800 lte that seems very fragile or its a bad radio on my s5.

Here are some of my findings:

    1. often my s5 will not handoff to b26 when the b25 signal is degrading; i will watch it get to about -115dbm then drop to 3g. An immediate airplane toggle in the same location will get me on b26 with a good signal coming from the same site (Verified by looking at the GCI). this gets frustrating because my phone ends up being on 3g a lot more than it should, when i have a substantial amount of b26 around me.

    2. I compared my s5 to an s5 on ATT in my basement. ATT's 700mhz and b26 on sprint will make it to my basement. the signals are coming from the same site (ATT is one rack higher so i understand why it would be a few dBms higher). Anyway my s5 on b26 sits around -104 to -106 while the ATT s5 was at -102 to 104. I simply placed the phone on my lap and the sprint s5 immediately drops to 3g but the ATT one gets to about -108 to -110. It just seems like b26 shouldn't drop that easily

so far i haven't really been impressed by b26. i'm hoping my phone is the issue though. Have you guys seen anything similar?

It is because your in washington dc, even in chicago the b26 isn't fully configured. Right now the 800 lte is on low power setting and will be turned up when all the other sites are turned on and not have interference from other towers

  12. Sense 6 is the best version of Sense yet. Way less intrusive than previous versions. I went from the EVO LTE to the M8 and I can say I'm very satisfied. You should try it in the store before you disregard it.

I agree with paynefanbro, I went from evo lte to m8 also and I love the m8. Evo lte had a weak b25 radio, otherwise everything else was good on evo lte. You can always try it and see if you like it :)

  13. I did speed tests in the city all around where I usually am on the south side and south loop and found that since I was last here in April speeds have pretty much doubled for me. Where I was seeing 3 Mbps I'm seeing about 6 or so now. The second carrier appears to be helping, band 26 was nowhere to be found for awhile today in the city though, then it finally appeared later on towards the evening. EVDO is even working better now, I've noticed this where B26 is live.

In Highland, IN, one of the water towers where Sprint is located I noticed a second set of panels up there now, shorter then the original ones up there, is this 8t8r?

if you get a chance, take a picture the next time you can. Because pictures say a thousands words or something like that :D

  14. I drive through a coverage hole in the western suburbs quite often.  I still lose every voice call that I make or am continuing while in this area on an iPhone 5s.  This hole is one mile south of Central DuPage Hospital to the northern border of Naperville in the village of Winfield and has been there for at least the past two years.  I had a call dropped in that area again today.  I had hoped that B26 would fix the problems in the Winfield Road forest preserve area but they have not had any impact so far.  Hopefully there is more optimization to occur.

Sprint really needs to measure the calls dropped from their towers.  That would help them adjust their coverage in most areas.  Remember the Verizon "Can you hear me now" commercials?  That is what Sprint needs to do as they optimize B26.

Part of your problem is you have a iphone and 800 isn't the top setting in the prl for your phone to scan for 800. I know the area your talking about and my phone had the same issue until I got my galaxy. Now I keep 800 voice though the area, not a strong signal but good enough.
