Well, you're not the only one. LOL
  2. thanks for the clarification, Robert. Seems to jibe with what i was thinking. Nice to see Ericsson finally getting that backhaul for enhanced 3g in place. Would be interesting to see what sort of 3g speeds folks are picking up in those areas.
  3. Sorry that posted oddly...not sure how i managed to screw that up!
  4. That's precisely what i was thinking. Thanks for your input. Hopefully Robert can weigh in a bit as well when he gets time. P.s..the fact that Atlanta has so many active 4g towers live that it's hard to tell the old from the new isn't exactly the worst problem to have! : o )
  5. Over 100 accepted sites in Atlanta/Athens? Really? Were most of these sites Where Ericsson added NV 3G to pre-existing LTE sites? Backhaul issues now largely resolved? Because other than that i was just wondering where most of these 100+ newly accepted sites are. Yes, I'm already a sponsor but with Atlanta so already built out, it's difficult to distinguish new sites from old. Thanks.
  6. I have never used wifi @ home simply because my phone either refuses to connect (to any wifi signal, anywhere - both my gs2s have this issue) or, if it does, somehow all other connected devices in the house are booted off the network. So i have never in my life experienced wifi on a phone. True story! P.s. Wimax here in Atlanta is nearly just as fast as our home 15mbps connection so it doesn't affect me anyway but thought I'd share.
  7. I'm not entirely convinced that phone is "competing" with anything at all.
  8. Your best bet is calling sprint customer service for this. They can connect you to a dedicated airave "specialist" who will actually be able to help identify your problem. When you call, be sure your call is routed to an airave "specialist." If they cannot help you then there is nothing else you can do. In that case, you'd be best served to simply return the airave, cancel your service and move on to another provider.
  9. Ba ha ha ha ha ha! I really, truly am beginning to think that the vast majority of the population (CLEARLY not us! : o ) ) is basic beyond reproach and that there is simply no hope for the human race. *sigh.
  10. loved it. nice to hear it directl from the horse's mouth, even though most of us knew that all along. confirmation, still, is a good thing.
  11. Excellent explanation, Robert. Thank you. It helped me, too.
  12. Let me just say that those are all incredibly great 3G speeds that I think any of us would be terribly jealous of, not that what I said answers your question at all. Just tossing in my two cents. I'd kill for 3G speeds like that!
  13. P.S. In the isolated locations where I do get Wimax, it is usually 10-12 mbps. Not too shabby at all.
  14. Indeed they have improved. I wondered why. I assumed it was migration of customers to LTE devices. Combine what you said with that fact and I guess that's most of the answer. Hey, it's an added benefit for those of us still on Wimax devices.
  15. Can I get this on my Epic 4G touch? I have been digging around for the answer to this but I don't really understand most of what I'm coming across. Would this put jelly bean on my GS2 (albeit clearly in an unofficial, unsupported and warranty-voiding sort of way)?
  16. That is so bizarre. And frustrating. I can tell you that several of my coworkers have Sprint LTE phones..mainly the Galaxy S3...and they all now seem to be getting fairly consistent 4G LTE. We work in Atlantic Station in West Midtown and LTE has been oddly slow in coming to Midtown but it seems to be here now, at least right where we work for sure. I guess things are still slowly improving. I just didn't realize that a market would take so long to complete. Having been officially launched in June (with work starting even well before that), I just assumed it would be done by now. Clearly I was mistaken as I am not terribly familiar with the Telecom industry. But if it takes up to a year or more to complete a market, how can Sprint meet its goal of finishing the rollout by 2013?? Can anyone explain? Thanks.
  17. Sprint coverage maps at Sprint.com have now been updated to show this. Check it out! A press release must be imminent.
  18. I know exactly what building you are talking about. Either Twelve hotel/condo tower or the Atlantic across the street. I work right there, as well and that is precisely the location I was referencing (going back a few posts in this thread) regarding the Sprint reps and the conversation we had. And, yeah, you're right. Midtown has been largely left out of the buzz while the suburbs and even exurbs have been getting all the love. So maybe the situation is about to improve? I hope so!!!!!!!
