  1. Has anyone ever had a confirmed B41 2x CA connection on the 6P?  My coworkers Samsung is always on 2x CA from the site near our office, however, I can't find anything in the DATA screens that even indicates CA is enabled.  LTE Engineering is worthless on this device.  LTE Discovery is only showing a single EARFCN/Frequency range.  Speed tests are usually in the 20-30 Mbps range, which is more than usable, but they are very similar to the results I got on my Moto X Pure previously.

  2. If your seeing the tiny 3 its highly likely that 3xCA is probably there or around the corner. It also means that 2xCA is highly likely live. Meaning you will see a pretty significant increase in overall speed with any modern device.

We've had a 3rd B41 Carrier for quite awhile in west michigan, however, I haven't seen any confirmed reports of 3xCA.

The SuperSet 3 only indicates the 3rd carrier, not 3x CA.  The only way to confirm CA is via the engineering screens.

  3. I utilized my tab e at Deer Camp the past few days and it out preformed every other Sprint device there.  Lots of streaming NFL Sunday ticket Red Zone channel.  The antenna in this little thing is very good.

  4. For the vast majority of users in the vast majority of places the vast majority of the time, PRL updates have zero effect on service -- native or roaming.  Concern over having the latest PRL is overblown.

    AJ

Only thing recently that caused the need for a forced PRL update was Sprint shuffling PCS spectrum with the other carriers.

  5. I heard somewhere that Sprint may release a new Samsung tablet in the 10 inch range by the end of the year. With the new $20 unlimited plan, it might fit what you want.

When I picked up my Tab E, the rep told me they had the new Samsung Tab A (10") coming in the near future.  Not sure what version Sprint will get, but there is a 32gb version with 3GB of RAM.

Well heck, the Tab A is already on the Sprint Website, unfortunately its the 16gb version with 2GB of RAM and Marshmallow.  However, it does have the SD card slot.

  6. I just picked up the new Galaxy Tab E 8inch in the other day. I love it so far but i found some intresting things in the hodden menus.

    1. It has CA listed but disabled. I used the msl to to turn it on but havent had a chance to go to some of the CA towers near by to test. Im not even sure if its a CA device but it has the menu so it must be right?

    2. It has lte roaming on bands 2,4,12 listed on the priority page but then lte roaming is disabled. I turned it on with the msl but not sure how to test these bands.

If i use the msl to to turn on these features

How did you get your MSL?

  7. I went ahead and initiated the return on ebay. (Item was sold as non-returnable but regardless of what happens I'd like to hear what the seller has to say about this.)

Until I can get this figured out (or my 5X is fixed), I'll be texting with an LS840 LG Viper circa 2012! Talk about a throwback.

I think with it being advertised as 32GB, but really being 16GB you'll be able to return it.

My Dad just replaced his Nexus 5 with an LG5.  The screen on the Nexus 5 is shattered, but I'll see if he is willing to part with it.  It is already Sprint white listed, but i think only 16GB.  PM me if you are interested.

  8. No issues with that here but my Hangouts v13 is being  real battery hog (as in 10% of battery used).  I just cleared data to see if that helps but Hangouts, in general, web and mobile has been RATHER buggy the last two days. I'll pay attention to DND though and see if there are any issues.

I deleted my previous saved DND profile and recreated it with a new name to see if that helps
