  1. Nice find. I think Sprint needs to be doing more of these minor transactions to bulk up their PCS holdings in all parts of the US.
  2. From my limited testing of B41 LTE testing with the G2, I hope the OTA update is more than just flipping those switches in the ##data# menu. I can tell you that right now without the OTA it seems like Sprint really does not want you to connect to B41 LTE. I get multiple disconnects and reconnects. If you are connected to B41 LTE and are not pushing data traffic through (speedtests, browsing web, watching youtube, etc) and be idle for like 5-10 seconds, you get disconnected and then reconnect even when i had a B41 signal of -70 dBm RSRP. It is very frustrating in doing testing and screenshot captures. I am hoping the spark OTA update fixes the stability of connecting toB26 and B41 LTE. Sent from my LG G2 LS980 using Tapatalk
  3. The HTC One is only has a 4.7" screen, not a 5" screen. A 5.2" screen for the HTC Two would make this 0.5" larger in screen size to the HTC One. Sent from my LG G2 LS980 using Tapatalk
  4. Weird but maybe leave mobile data off and then power off the phone and then power it back on. That doesn't make any sense since when my mobile data option is off, it stays off. Again my other suggestion to u is to do this test in another area where you know doesn't have LTE with mobile data off just to be sure. Sent from my LG G2 LS980 using Tapatalk
  5. Do you have a screenshot? So there is an option to Write PRL?
  6. Do you guys think Sprint may make a bid on 700 MHz A block spectrum or just hope for a decent amount of 600 MHz spectrum to free up for auction? In the Fiercewireless article the Sprint CFO made it clear that Sprint was focusing on obtaining more low band spectrum so the only options right now are the 600 MHz auction and pieces of the 700 MHz A block from Verizon. Sprint definitely could make use of that 700 MHz A block spectrum licenses from Verizon in the OC/south LA and San Diego areas due to the ongoing Mexico IBEZ issue which will cripple the amount of 800 MHz that can be deployed later on. Also Detroit could make use of the 700 MHz A block spectrum licenses from Verizon due to the Canada IBEZ restrictions. Verizon also have 700 MHz A block licenses in some other large markets in the US.
  7. What if you don't put anything at all in there. Just remove the numbers for the IP address and Port entirely and leave it blank and then try to reset and see what happens.
  8. I didn't mean to say the Nexus 5 phone in general sucks. I meant it sucks in the context that there isn't a method to flash your PRL with a Nexus 5 thus far. Re-read the post it was quoted from to get some context.
  9. Dang that sucks. Hopefully someone will find a way to flash a PRL file on the Nexus 5. Thanks for the info so I can update my thread.
  10. This is one of those old mods that I have seen since the Wimax days which people say it bypasses the Sprint proxy default address and port which can lead to faster data speeds. I can't say 100% when I did this for my Photon 4G if it necessarily increased my 3G/4G speeds or not but this mod has been around for a long time. Try a google search and you'll find it. Also I saw this posted in the LG G2 XDA forum too that eludes to this same mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525544
  11. Good find. Maybe Nexus 5 users can give that a shot although I heard some people saying they were having problems accessing the hidden menu.
  12. I guess let me rephrase my question. What I meant to say was I am more curious about what the icon does. Is it an icon on the status bar or is it preinstalled Sprint Spark icon in the app drawer as part of bloatware? If it is an app, then I am curious as to what you can do with it. Hopefully people will take some screenshots on their phones.
  13. I'll be curious to see what Sprint has for its Band priority settings set by default on these Spark enabled phones.
  14. Yes. For the Nexus 5, go to *#*#DATA#*#* and scroll to Multimedia. Enter your MSL and edit to the following: RTSP IP Address: 0.0.0.0 RTSP Port: 0
  15. Boy sucks to have a Nexus 5 then. Is there any way at all to update your PRL? Did anyone update their PRL on the Galaxy Nexus?
  16. I am laughing at my desk right now imagining you struggling to try to figure out what is going on when the solution is so simple. Some things you need to take note of in terms of 1x, EVDO, LTE and the SignalCheck Pro app with the LG G2. With the new triband LTE phones like the LG G2, you can no longer display 1x and LTE readings at the same time on SignalCheck Pro. When you are connected to LTE, you lose the readings of 1x and EVDO on SignalCheck. It is just how it works when you do not have SVLTE. If you looked at Settings->About Phone->Network, you will see only LTE or eHRPD (assuming you are in an area that has NV 3G upgraded) as the Mobile Network Type. The solution to your question is that you need to disable your data connection on your phone (Settings->Wireless & Networks -> Moble networks-> uncheck "Data enabled" OR you can use the Quick Settings in the notification window to disable "Data") so that the phone doesn't try to connect to a data connection (EVDO/LTE) especially if you are in a strong LTE area. After that try using the "Reset Data Connection" button on SignalCheck to help rescan the PRL or just toggle Airplane mode Off/On and you should be able to connect to 1x800 assuming you have it around you. This should fix your problem and you shouldn't have to muck with the "Network mode" under Mobile networks. Please leave it on Global or LTE/CDMA so you don't have issues later connecting to LTE. Let me know if this worked for you.
  17. I don't know how to get Diag mode to enable on a Nexus 5. There has got to be a way. Once you find out, please let me know so I can update the guide for Nexus 5 devices on how to enable Diag mode.
  18. Woo Hoo...I am able to get 1x800 on my phone last night after flashing my PRL!!! Anyone interested in wanting to flash their PRL can see this thread: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5022-easy-method-to-obtain-your-msl-and-flash-a-prl/ If you are a sponsor you can get the PRL here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3059-800smr-s4gru-sponsors-prls/ If you are a premier sponsor you can get the PRL here: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2677-800smr-premier-sponsor-prls/
  19. Try following the guide here. I was able to flash my PRL through this method. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5022-easy-method-to-obtain-your-msl-and-flash-a-prl/
  20. Maybe cuz I expected the LG phones to I don't know have LG displays?
  21. We only have screenshots of B41 LTE but not B26 LTE. We don't know at this point which sites have B26 LTE. Here are some B41 LTE screenshots that I took last night. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4886-lg-g2-users-thread/?p=237898
  22. What is a JDI panel and a non LG panel?
  23. You can get your MSL here. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5022-easy-method-to-obtain-your-msl-and-flash-a-prl/?p=237659
