  1. If you check on the website it's likely pushing you toward the way pay upgrade I'm guessing and not the traditional subsidy upgrade
  2. They could have done so as they have to change the upgrade eligibility upon the next upgrade. I have had it with Sprint. They kept doing this to me. Last time when I finally qualify for premier yearly upgrade they canceled premier, then I upgraded and shortly after they went from 22 month to 20 month upgrade cycle, now I was finally on the 20 month cycle and they yank it out from under me the very same day I can take advantage of it.... T-Mobile is looking awfully attractive as you says that sprint will eventually remove the subsidy upgrade option, and I highly doubt whatever plan they force people to change to will not come with an effective price increase
  3. Previously all upgrade eligibility changes i.e. from 20 months to 24 months only take effect upon the NEXT upgrade..... I saw a blurb about eligibility changing again on the Jan/Feb bills taking effect on 3/1/2015 but it did not specify this is retroactive to all users so I didn't pay it much attention. I have 2 lines due for upgrade 3/1/2015 even as of mid Feb when I last checked on the Sprint website. To my horror going to the website today (3/1/2015) and trying to upgrade I found that now I can't upgrade until 7/1/2015!!!!! W T F !!! making me wait till 3/1/ to upgrade and then on the dot on 3/1 saying I can no longer upgrade??? NOT COOL! Sprint's own forum is starting to fill up with users in the same boat. https://community.sprint.com/baw/community/buzzaboutwireless/customer-service I would encourage anyone in the same boat to get in touch with Sprint... the more users who cry out about this the more likely we can get our Upgrade back. If Sprint does not get this taken care of, I'll be taking my 4 lines 10+ years account elsewhere when the contracts on each line are up
  4. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a miracle that a Phablet will be announced together with the M9.... but keeping my expectation low at this point as so far all the rumors leaked pointed to otherwise
  5. Down in springfield IL, back in Jan was first time I seen B25 LTE widely, this week I'm also seeing B41 (at least the part of Springfield along I-55)
  6. The upgrade timing (20 vs 24) is based on your last upgrade. If the upgraded was before the new policy, then that line would retained the 20 months for the next upgrade, In you case since you upgraded this year which is after the new policy, if you check your current eligibility for the next upgrade should be using the 24 months cycle
  7. You don't want it in the back... Its the bane of my existence... I drive alot and once its in my car mount the finger print sensor become inaccessible, requiring typing in a password instead argh!
  8. OMG... My miracle may come true... I need to pray even harder! http://www.phonearena.com/news/HTC-One-M9-Plus-leaks-out-5.5-QHD-screen-Snapdragon-810-Duo-Camera-and-finger-scanner_id65113
  9. My next upgrade is available on March 1st, i'm praying for a Miracle that the rumor of the M9 Max is true and they announce that alongside of the M9 on March 1st.... praying hard indeed! lol (I'm a phablet fan, otherwise i'm stuck deciding between Nexus 6 or Note4)
  10. Yup, just got to Springfield for work, I see b25 and b26, but not b41 yet edit - I did see B41 briefly on the stretch of I55 by Veterans
  11. Do you use Google Voice integration? Texting with GV requires data, there's no 3G/4G for data when you are on a call unless you have Wifi
  12. So I figured out the GPS issues i've been suffering from. Apparently Wifi Calling was causing it... I'm guessing the Wifi calling E911 feature was overriding the GPS, which makes it so that when i leave the house its not de-overriding correctly meaning I had to reboot my phone everytime I left the house to get GPS working again.
  13. Lol I missed that part I thought it is 12/31/2014..... Let's see if I get charge for it in a month to see if it is a typo
  14. its pretty much nickle and diming the users.... T&C stated data is for personal use only, Good/BlackBerry is corporate/enterprise, so they charge another fee for this enterprise access attached the letter to the first post, the only edit is to remove personal information
  15. Employer paid good to license their service on top of that Sprint charges users a "toll" fee as the rationale is this is for business use and not personal use, where the T&C only allows for personal use. I think this is just a result of all the discount and promotions being implemented lately, they have to make up for the revenue loss somewhere why not just nickel and dime us some more especially if they are just enforcing an existing T&C clause. My employer uses Good, I don't have any say in that matter, best I can do is try to get them to approve for compensation/expense for it. The bad part is this may be only for Andriod users.... as I heard/read on the web that for ATT/VZW, iPhone users are somehow exempted either due to agreement with Apple or the carrier can't decipher the Good traffic when used on an iPhone to know who is using Good or not. Take either explanation with a grain of salt
  16. I just received a snail mail warning me that they would start billing for anyone using Good starting Jan 2015 2016. They "claimed" previous billing system issue allow certain users to get this "feature" without being charged. Seem this falls under the fine print in the T&C for corporate email access similar to how they charge extra for BlackBerry edit* I'm weary the 12/31/2015 (so charge start on 1/1/2016) part maybe a Sprint typo... let's see if i get charge for in on next months bill edit 2* Added a Sprint forum link on the same issue, it sheds a little more light on the issue with the possibility that the company's license "MAY" cover the access fee already? https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/180119?start=15&tstart=0
  17. I will rehash my question from the old thread. How does the screen perform in outdoor/direct sunlight? due to its dim brightness
  18. If TD-SCDMA would work, that's even better , but I'm guessing chance are low of TD-SCDMA working by default, maybe only work with rooting/custom radio/mod? My interest is that I have relatives in GuangZhou where China Mobile TD-LTE is available: 1) I can use TD-LTE on my sprint phone when i travel there with a China Mobile SIM 2) I can gift my used sprint phone to my relatives when I upgrade to a new phone. I use my phone for work and the GOOD app is a PITA when it comes to rooting/mod My relatives are not tech savy and I don't want to play tech support dealing with rooting/modding from half way across the planets.
  19. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can report back on the screen's outdoor/full sun performance. Online review say the N6 screen brightness is only 270nits, compare to 468 for the note 4 or 574nits for the 6plus
  20. My biggest question is, can Sprint TD-LTE world phone work on China Mobile's TD-LTE network if we unlock the phone and use a China Moblie sim cards? I understand there would be no TD-SCDMA as its a different tech
  21. Is that tasty morsel from premier? Alas I don't have enough $ to make that leap
  22. Naperville is hit and miss, B26 is widespread, I've also seen USCC b25 around Naperville but B41 is not available in most area, Rt 59 area has it, but the area bracket by Modaff to the west 55th/Maple to the north, Naper Blvd to the East and where Weber/Washington meet to the south area doesn't have B41 coverage. You can see the B41 coverage using Sprint's coverage tool, if you zoom in enough (4th cloesest zoom with street level detail) you will see the "Turbo" shaded area that's B41. Why is she not happy with the service? I know the speed on B25/B26 arent great, but they usually work pretty well
  23. Thanks very much, so seems like even with the >30+ ERP/EIRP the IP6 doesn't seem to be doing significantly better than the N5? Wondering why the average RSRP on the IP6 is bouncing all over the place though.... with a -120dBM RSRP on B41, my HTC One Max would not be sending/receiving anything and waiting to get drop back to B25
  24. Would anyone be kind enough to do a side by side comparison on B41 signal strenght RSRP against another Sprint Spark phone (S4, S5, M8, Notes 3, N5, G3, etc). I really want to see how good is that B41 >30+ dBm ERP/EIRP on the IP6/6+ compared to the typical low 20s dBm ERP/EIRP on most other phones
