  1. Sounding like March based on current latest rumor/news
  2. You should make the raffles a frontpage wall post, frankly I stumble upon this raffle by accident
  3. Did you get an email from sprint when you activate your phone? That email contains your msl Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  4. That mean ca is enabled on your phone but not in use, which band are you on? if you are on b41 that may mean that tower does not have ca yet. although i have not seen this lately, on the early days of Chicago ca deployment, i have also seen case where the ca line will only show connection info when there is an active download in progress and show not config when the first line says idle, so if you are on unlimited or have lots of data to spare, try having an active download or speedtest in the background while you check *#0011# again. if you are on b25/b26, b25/b26 ca is not supported by sprint at this point, so try getting on b41 and check again Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  5. is this is semi-rural area or in a metro/suburban area? lmnopz live in SF and I live near Chicago, both are farily dense metro/suburban area Ok so CA is enabled, but let''s also double check that it is actually "IN USE" if you do *#0011# about 5-6 lines down it should show CA-Add (S) BAND:41 BW:20Mhz <-- this should be exact match (S)Earfcn: #####d, PCI: ### <--- numbers can vary if you don't see a valid line/numbers the tower may not support CA.
  6. expect real life average with CA on none congested towers to be between 20-40mbps, 60mbps+ are only on idle towers and you would need a RSRP better than -90dbm to achieve that (LTE speed is highly dependent on signal strength). in my own experience 60mbps+ is not unusual, but not common either. I have only once managed to pull > 100mbps personally
  7. Through "Ok google" 1) at first the google now page would pop up showing the route, but then google map would pop up into Navigation mode. 2) I don't have NPR, i listen to them via tunein on the local NPR channel, when i say listen to tunein it just start the app up but doesn't play anything
  8. SamMobile rumor report CDMA carriers to use Qualcomm, everybody else use Exynos. http://www.sammobile.com/2015/11/16/rumored-model-numbers-for-snapdragon-820-and-exynos-8890-powered-galaxy-s7-and-galaxy-s7-edge/ Snapdragon 820 Verizon - SM-G930V and SM-G935V Sprint - SM-G930P and SM-G935P US Cellular - SM-G930R4 and SM-G935R4 China - SM-G9300 and SM-G9350 models Exynos 8890 International unlocked - SM-G930F and SM-G935F T-Mobile - SM-G930T and SM-G935T AT&T - SM-G930A and SM-G935A Canada - SM-G930W8 and SM-G935W8 Korean versions - SM-G930 S/K/L and SM-G935 S/K/L, depending on the carrier
  9. Most current rumors says that Samsung will be switching back to the Quaulcomm for USA, Exynos elsewhere strategy for the S7 Qualcomm have formally announced the SnapDragon 820, which support 3x20mhz CA download and 2x20mhz CA upload https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/820 This will probably be the first phone on Sprint to support 3x B41 CA
  10. Nope, its been like this for a decade ever since the first smartphones back in the Palm Treo days
  11. As long as we are talking about samsung pay, don't forget sprint and Samsung is offering $50 sprint bill credit for buying and activating samsung pay between oct15-nov30, and free wireless charger (up to 200k gifts) for activating samsung pay Oct 28-nov 8. Fine prints say cannot combine offer but I'm giving both a shot. ... if you are only going for one the $50 bill credit is the better of the 2 as wireless charger is pretty cheap Www.samsungpromotions.com
  12. Won't be for months.... for carrier approval typically we are looking at at least 3 months after the international rom release and we havn't heard anything on the international ROM yet either
  13. Not sure.... in store when i did the upgrade it rung up as $149, the price label on the display said $149 also, I should have took a picture so we can reference the fine prints on it but did not
  14. PSA, best buy have the Note5 for $100 off on 2 year contract upgrade ($149 before tax for 32gb). Seem to be B&M only as online still show $249. YMMV, I upgraded yesterday suburban Chicago
  15. if its the same price as the note 5, i may consider.... also I'm interested in the VR headset stuff, I'm not sure if the dual edges would negatively affect the experience. I will probably buy one of the new samsung VR headset when they come out
  16. Samsung Pay + Sprint have a $50 bill credit offer for new purchases 10/15 to 11/5 https://samsungpromotions.com/samsungpaysprint/ This works out better than the free wireless charger! I'm upgrading on 11/1
  17. It worked for you at Costco? I tried samsung pay MST with my Amex and the swipe terminal said card read error, there was a long line behind me, so I didn't want to hold the line up and just swipe the card
  18. Feel free to merge it, i have no idea where that thread is though
  19. We know for a long time that Spring planned to sit out the 600mhz auction and now they have finally confirmed it to no surprise. But what's next for Sprint plan as far as additional spectrum goes? They do need more low frequency spectrum
  20. I'm not buying any phone with a fingerprint sensor on the back, tried that already with the HTC one max.... I use the phone as a GPS in the car all the time with a car mount, you can't access the stupid finger print sensor when you are driving and that thing is in the back of the phone.... having to type in a backup password is not ideal while driving. having it on the front like apple and samsung is the way to go
  21. I'm not receiving the verification code when I try to add my AMEX.... and my other cards... Chase is not yet ready for Samsung Pay yet... ARGH!
  22. now that CA is more widely deployed in Chicago, i've been getting 20-40mbps regularly along i-55 and i-290, with occasional 60mbps and these are all during morning and evening rush hours. on an idle tower in the burbs i have pulled 110mbps before, but that's not a typical result
