  1. What do you mean? I'm using a htc one max
  2. but down the street where the signal was stronger I was getting 40 down 15 up...? would that mean my 40 down is in fact due to backhaul capacity and if given enough back haul i could have gotten 15 x 8.... ~120mbps up?
  3. I found the TDLTE upload to be greatly affected by signal strength with signal strength weaker than -113db my upload would be lucky to break 2mbps where the download can be greater than 20mbps in the -90db range I can crack 10mbps 1 test in the -80db range I was getting 15mbps upload This was on the HTC one max (reception not as good as the G2/N5 i think) and downtown chicago
  4. Thanks for the clarification! So if its turbo, you "should" get B41, if its not Turbo, there's chance you MAY get B41 if its in a deployed market?
  5. 1PM, I was waiting there to meet somebody for an appointment
  6. If its one of the launched market like Chicago, if you use Sprint's coverage map on their website and zoom in enough it will show it as Spark Turbo where band 41 is available. but hard to get that if you are in door.
  7. surprisingly, today I was able to pull 12mbps while in the ped bridge between Merchandise mart and IIA on 1900LTE
  8. Really? How about the stretch along lake springfield shared with I-55? Will be great if I can have 4G while I'm in Springfield in Jan for business travel
  9. They don't price match previous sale from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday, and the price already went back up to $249 today
  10. Good to know! being able to get on 800 will defintely help with the congestion on the 1900 band and with the One max seeming to have worse reception than the S4, would help to hold on to LTE in more places (in door especially)
  11. About the LTE800... that can only be treated as rumor right now, I have yet to see any LTE800 myself and I have not seen any post confirming LTE800 being turned on in chicago either.
  12. Yes.... have a Device with Spark connect to Band 41, another device without spark connect to Band 25, confirm both are on the same tower, run a speed test on both device, if you are pulling 10-30mbps on the Spark device and like 300kbps (typical of what I observed the past 2 days when my One Max is on band 25 in downtown chicago) on the none-spark, there's your evidence.
  13. Finally got this phone... of course I had to order it from Best Buy a few days before thanks giving.... never expected them to drop the price by $100 for Cyber monday.... sigh $100 out the window.... About the finger print scanner, you can swipe UP or DOWN either/both direction and still work, but you can't swipe side to side from either side. Doesn't matter how you swipe during the initial setup either. So for those who hate swiping down i found a push/swipe up to be easier and less likely to touch the camera lens by accident. The only thing I don't like about is A) its in the back meaning if the phone is laying down i can't scan my finger print... if A happen, i have to type a password, I can't fall back to pin number or pattern unlock. FYI comparing it side by side to my Galaxy S4, the Band 25 LTE 1900 reception is about 5-10% worse than the S4 (percent reported by Network signal info app) and it seem not able to hold onto LTE signal as well as the S4 and drop to 3G earlier (no surprise there if the reception is not as good as the S4). On the other hand, I'm working in Downtown chicago this week and I was able to confirm the phone uses Band 41 TDLTE and pull 10-30mbps, at least if i'm outdoor, Indoor in the office building I'm only getting Band 25 LTE. Anyone know when are they turning on LTE800 around chicago?
  14. I was at Clinton and Monroe this morning on my One Max and I pulled > 20mbps download, confirmed via ##DEBUG# that i was on band 41, signal was not great though, under 50% (-100db ish?)as reported by Network signal info app
  15. none of the store in my area have it in stock OR have a in stock date
  16. still waiting for BB store to get them in stock, as I have $65 in discount i can use
  17. Best Buy B&M store (where i have discounts) don't have it in stock.... wtf wasted my lunch hour running to a best buy mobile and a best buy store
  18. Build quality, actual reception quality etc etc Also I have google voice integrated, (my GV number is my sprint phone#) anyway I can tweak so that all my call come through as VoIP call through GV to maintain SVLTE capability?
  19. what's the verdict on it so far? I'm planning on to pick this up during lunch
  20. because Sprint is last i check on a 20 months upgrade cycle, vs ATT on a 24 months cycle, so sprint price their phone a bit higher to cover the 4 months cost of subsidy
  21. Arriving Nov 8th, $199 upgrade prices https://community.sprint.com/baw/community/sprintblogs/announcements/blog/2013/10/30/first-sprint-tri-band-capable-smartphones-arrive-on-nov-8
  22. Still "coming soon", the other tri-band devices G2, Mega and S4 Mini are Nov 8th Upgrade price is looking like $249 per the announcement, (checked against the LG G2 is $199 on the announcement and $99 after $100 switch and save discount on sprint website) $100 cheaper than the note 3 for a tri-band phablet, I can live with that. Now if they can just announce a date! but its looking like no earlier than Nov 8th as that is their "Sprint Spark" launch https://community.sprint.com/baw/community/sprintblogs/announcements/blog/2013/10/30/first-sprint-tri-band-capable-smartphones-arrive-on-nov-8
  23. The One max have gone on sale in Taiwan.... Sprint come on!
  24. I give more weight to the FCC filing, marketing teams have been known to get things/spec wrong on the mfg website. Now if we can just confirm a sale date
