  1. Around here both AT&T and T-Mobile use Commscope products. Most Commscope antennas have the distinct crease down the center making them easy to identify and makes them look similar even though they use different models.
  2. @mikejeep The first couple of days after the update everything seemed fine, then all of a sudden yesterday it "hung" 3 different times, the only way to get it to work again was to go force stop from settings. Two of the 3 times I did have it running in split window mode so I could see SCP and the service mode screen at the same time. I've had no issues today. Not sure what triggered yesterday, I had received the September android update the day before but I ran SCP that day with no issues. I've had 0 issues with the new update on my T-Mobile S20+. Another note/ feature request: since the Android update the service mode now shows PCC MIMO info. I wonder if that is reported in the OS in a way you can display in SCP.
  3. Did the change the n41 equipment they were using? That looks bigger than other installs I've seen.
  4. The September update for my S20 Ultra enabled NSA N2 and N66. Hopefully they start transitioning some PCS and AWS to NR soon. I'm hoping in areas like mine where they have 2-3 PCS and 3 AWS carriers that they just flip 1 of those completely to NR and forget DSS.
  5. I finally received the September update today, and with it AT&T has enabled NSA N2 and N66 now. Still no SA available in the RAT menu. Its also now showing MIMO # in service mode screen. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  6. It shows the one live tower in Louisville but not the one in Lexington KY. Both have been live for months, so there's probably a lot more that's live but not showing yet.
  7. I noticed for at least a couple hours yesterday that I was on the T-Mobile network but using the 311-490 PLMN. I only noticed because the 5G icon was gone and I wasn't getting NSA N71. It held thought a reboot and multiple airplane mode cycles. I wonder if they are getting close to making that the primary for both networks?
  8. I've been seeing my phone switch back and forth between T-Mobile and Sprint fairly regularly here in Kentucky for the last day or so. Also seeing each others neighbors showing up in SCP. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  9. Today I confirmed I'm able to connect to our Magicbox now with my T-Mobile phone.
  10. Hmm, I'm betting this is why I keep getting a "ROAMING NOT ALLOWED" in the service menu when I try to force SA N71. I had an issue trying to activate both my S20+ and Tab S6 when I switched to T-Mobile in April. Long story short they fixed the issue by giving me new SIM cards for both at a local store. My current SIM does not say R15 on it, it just says TM9263.
  11. I don't believe so. It does seem to only affect my AT&T phone, but that is also the one I use 95% of the time. It seems to only happen after I've had SCP open for a long period of time, then put it in the background and open something else, then when I go back to SCP it'll have the data still on it from when I went out of it, or just a blank screen. The app is completely frozen when this happens, I can't get the menu to come up to exit that way or send diagnostics. The only way to clear it and get it to start working again is to force close SCP via the system settings menu. Used to happy very infrequently, like one or twice a month tops. It just seems to be happening more frequently now. It may be some power saving feature where it sees it drawing more power than usual when I have it open for a long period of time that it tries to compensate for once it moves to the background. I just changed the power setting to exclude SCP when putting apps to sleep to see if that makes a difference.
  12. Looks like I'm now able to roam onto the Sprint network in Louisville. No CA on this test and I had my phone locked to only B41. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  13. Anyone else having issues with the app freezing up? In the last week or so I've had several instances where I try to go back into SCP and its frozen. It either will show old data thats not updating or just a black screen. I have to go force stop the app to fix the issue.
  14. That fixed it. 🤦‍♂️I don't remember ever changing that to wifi only. That explains why it was only doing it on one phone.
  15. Looking over a plan I found this morning it looks like they've moved to a combined RRH for B5/B12.
  16. I actually got lucky on this one, these showed up just by searching for Cell Tower permits under Building permits. But typically I have to search using Ansco in the Name of Business field, Ansco is the contractor they use 95% of the time around here. but I've recently started seeing a few new companies for small cell installations. Most macro work in Louisville has site plans under the attachments section.
  17. I found T-Mobile M-MIMO gear in Carbondale Illinois today, it wasn't yet live so not sure what bandwidth they'll deploy here. I'll have to check in Marion while I'm here and see if I find anymore. They are definitely needing more capacity around here. Im glad to see that they are deploying outside of major metro areas, though Carbondale does have Southern Illinois University. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  18. Interesting. I've just recently started seeing these permits, I wonder whats changed that to drive these being installed? The downlink side of AWS3 has been live here for a couple years now, UL side is lighting up now along with 5G upgrades.
  19. I've recently started seeing permits around here for adding this AWS filter to sites around here. Not really sure what the purpose is. From Louisville's permit portal:
  20. Just updated but I'm still seeing the empty 5G info block when not connected to 5G. Diagnostic report sent. Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  21. Noticed this today while out in southern Illinois. SCP showing it as 10x10 but its really 15x15. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  22. Just sent them, for consistency I had both locked to B12.
  23. Well, I'm still seeing it on my AT&T phone but on my T-Mobile phone is disappears when I force B12.
  24. I'm still seeing it, just sent you a report.
