    I would caution against making that statement for everywhere. Personally I switched my line from Sprint to T-Mobile right after the merger completed and even then it was already a better experience and has only gotten better since. Also keep in mind that T-Mobile will continue to take from the Sprint network and redeploy on its network. Here they've already trimmed both Sprint's B41 and B25 spectrum. This will vary city to city though, but even if Sprint is still the better of the two networks now it's only a matter of time before that changes.

    Smaller towns and cities are harder to find permits if they're even required. Louisville doesn't require permits for most upgrades so there's not much to track up here. T-Mobile should get better down there once they start converting keep sites and hopefully add some new sites as well. The last time I was down there I hit several Sprint's sites broadcasting the 312-250 "keep" PLMN and had quite a bit of AT&T roaming as well, especially on the stretch of 27 from Stanford to just north of Somerset.

    I don't think so, I can see 4 jumpers coming from the Nokia radio and the other four are from the Sprint RRUS31.

    So I wonder if this Sprint keep site conversion is the same setup just with different antenna. There's only 1 Nokia radio, so its either 600/700 only or 1900/2100 only + 2500. It wouldn't make sense to be 600/700 with 2500 without SA N41 because it would only be able to do B41 LTE without 1900/2100 to serve as anchor for NSA N41. The Sprint B25 radio was retained and is connected to the antenna and is currently the only technology broadcasting. This is also a very dense area for T-Mobile.

    I found this interesting upgrade last week. I thought this site had B12 before but I didn't log it on Cellmapper if it did so not 100% sure, but the site is now mid-band only with B2, B41, B66, N41. T-Mo is very dense here so low-band is probably not needed. Before: Now: T-Mobile's network in this small area: (T-Mobile in red, Sprint keep sites in green)

    I've had both my s20 ultra and s20+ for a year now, I just noticed today I'm starting to see some screen burn in from SCP on both.

    @mikejeepToday I'm having the same issue on my AT&T phone with the GPS coordinates not updating. I sent another diagnostic report and haven't yet exited so it's still in that state if you want me to try anything besides exiting.

    Probably wasn't the cleanest way but I cleared my trail log and then it showed 0 points to upload. So I think I scrubbed the bad data.

    Mike, just sent a diagnostic report. I drove from Louisville to Lexington KY this morning and didn't notice until I reached my destination that SCP didn't update the location data the entire way here. I only noticed because I was trying to add a note to a site and kept getting my home address for my location instead of where I was actually at. GPS coordinates were not updating at the top in SCP either. I did have Cell Mapper and Google maps running as well and they both had no issues with location data. An exit and restart of scp fixes the issue. Report was sent before I exited.

    I was able to swing by this site on my way home tonight, it has indeed been converted though no T-Mobile signal was live yet as far as I could tell. The only remaining Sprint signal was B25, it looks like they left the B25 RRU up there wired into the mid-band ports on the Commscope antenna. I only see one Nokia RRU behind the antenna, so I'm not sure if they are planning to leave it like that for awhile or come back and add the B2/B66 Nokia RRU soon. If its coming soon I'm surprised they didn't go ahead and mount it so all someone has to do is move some coax jumpers around to fully convert the site down the road. This is the first conversion I've found, I'll keep an eye on the other keep sites I've found and report in the market thread if I find any more.

    I'm pretty sure I found a Sprint keep site conversion in progress in Louisville. Sprint's equipment was always flush mounted to the tower structure and when I passed by today an actual rack has been recently installed. I didnt have time to get close enough to see if T-Mobile cabinets had been installed yet.

    I've had 3 LG phones in the last 10 years or so and was never particularly impressed with the brand. Radio performance always seemed subpar to other brands and Samsung in particular. Its a good thing the V20 had a removable battery cause it took me 2-3 to make it through a full day at work. I know people used to complain about bloat on Samsung phones but since I switched back in 2018 to Samsung I've never had issues with it. I used to have to factory reset my V20 every couple of months to keep it running smooth, something I've never had to do with my S9 or S20. I did love the knock on feature LG brought to market, and thankfully Samsung has now adapted a version of it so you can tap the screen to wake the phone up. I also miss the IR blaster one of my LG phones had, that was super handy for turning CCTV PVMs on that hang 10-12 feet off the ground. Now I have to spend 30 minutes looking for the remote or go find a ladder.

    I've also noticed here that all of the N41 sites with the older Nokia M-MIMO gear is still only at 60MHz, but the newer Nokia gear is all at 80 MHz. Both have 2 20MHz LTE carriers as well. If this is some limitation of the old gear I bet we see them start swapping those out soon with the newer version.

    I've been noticing around here that EN-DC for NSA N5 has been a mess recently. I guess it has to be configured for each LTE carrier on each sector, as sometimes it only 1 particular carrier on one sector, sometimes its the same one on all sectors, and some sites seem to only have it configured for the primary carrier for B2 and B66, and the 2nd and 3rd carriers don't get N5 aggregation. It usually varies site to site. Some sites it works on all sectors/bands like its supposed to. Some that previously worked don't work now. Typically on those bands/sectors that it doesn't work you won't even get the 5G logo, it'll just be 4G LTE or 5Ge. I'm hoping they turn SA N5 on soon, no sign of it as well as N2/N66 here yet.

    Mike, I just turned the option to display location accuracy on, and it's bleeding over into the IP address and overlapping. I can't post a screenshot until I get home later.

    I'm seeing quite a few keep sites around Louisville where T-Mobile had the superior network by a large margin. Far more than I thought I'd see.

    I've noticed around here that since B2 was widened to 15x15 that older non-upgraded sites are still only 10x10, even through they are using the same new EARFCN (Previously B2 was EARFCN 1051). I wonder if its a limitation of the older radios?

    Honestly I never realized those were buttons, I just thought they randomly turned off from time to time 😆. I always use the menu to turn it back on. Now I know.

    Well I have finally noticed an issue with the double NAT. I run Unifi Voice on my Ubiquiti UDM Pro and when I'm on my T-Mobile connection I can't make or receive calls on my IP phone. As soon as I switch to my Spectrum connection it works fine. Assuming this is because on T-Mobile it shows a 192.168 address for WAN connection. I'm hoping to port my existing Spectrum phone number to Unifi eventually and get rid of Spectrum all together and save about $100 a month, but I guess I'll have to find or build a cellular router that can pass though the public IP to my UDP Pro. If nothing else this proves that this is a viable option with the right equipment.
