  3. May not be the right thread but I have got a site that my phone connects to but doesnt show up on the NV Map. 2000 Lester Rd, Nesbit MS. I thought i was using the one of Starlanding rd. I bought SignalCheck Pro last night and once it showed me this tower i started doin g some digging and its not on the map. Maybe it is an old IDEN site that is shutting down soon or maybe the Starlanding Rd site is displaying the wrong address. Thanks for any help on this guys.
  4. what are the advantages of using IPV6 besides greater number of ip addresses?
  5. Thats what im hoping for would be nice to answer calls on the couch instead of rolling outside.
  6. Being on a satellite internet capped at gb has taught me alot about what you really need for web pages and surfing the web. Streaming constantly and huge downloads help kill the network for the rest of us.
  7. 25015 on LG Optimus G IN Memphis
  8. Anyone notice no LTE along Shelby drive/Lamar area. AS soon as i got to Southaven LTE lit up and performance increased dramatically. In Memphis I could get only 3g and web page loading was horrific.
  9. why does TMobile have such terrible ping rates. Their backhaul suck or what?
  10. I thought 800 was ready to go just had to turn it on. Im gonna search and find that thread.
  11. I dont care about being the fastest. I want reliability and hopefully unlimited data.
  12. Yea i install ddwrt on every router I buy. More stable and less issues.
  13. http://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/13/06/b3681781/telepak-networks-to-offer-fiber-based-digital-broadband-services-under- Check this out looks like Comcast and ATT have some competition coming to town. They are running the fiber lines down my road as we speak. Hopefully within the next 6 months to a year i can dump sat internet and get some real copper stuff.
  14. I would just like to get a consistent low latency .5 meg connection over 3g sitting on my couch to surf the web on the phone and keep from burning up my satellite connection.
  15. I would definitely rather have reliability over just using the new technology. I am amazed how far we have come in just the past ten years with cell service and even home broadband service.
  16. DDWRT does wonders to the routers it supports. Been running it for 4 years now and it has served me very well with all its customization options and reliability it offers.
  17. Now I thought Sprint wanted to offload voice and 1x data to the 800SMR side and leave heavy data usage on 1900 LTE. Maybe I digested all this information wrong so please correct me as to why Sprint would not want to do exactly that.
  18. Im assuming that soon after IDEN shuts down there will be a PRL update to prioritize 800.
  19. Ha i would love to have dsl where I am at. I am stuck with satellite internet. And no i am n the city.
  20. Would Sprint use copper backhaul by chance? Reason I ask is there is a antenna that looks like fresh copper that has been run within half a mile from the antenna location. I may just have never noticed the white and orange poles sticking from the ground but I drive this road once a week and just noticed it tonight.
  21. Does sprint use a certain company for their backhaul or do they just use whoever is in the area and can meet their specs?
  22. Disregard previous posts I read the iden shutdown thread and got all my answers there. Sorry for my ignorance.
  23. When IDEN shuts down does sprint have to go to each site and turn on 800 or is it a remote activate setup?
