  1. Downtown fresno is served primarily by a building-mounted setup that is not going to be expeditious to replace. Sorry.
  2. Whining isn't going to change the fact that larger cities are harder to launch, especially with the whole ecfsb or whatever it's called thrown into the mix. Fresno, Sacramento (for the most part) and Bakersfield are all pretty much in the same boat. I know Bakersfield has quite a bit of nv hardware up in the air; the same cannot be said for fresno. Bakersfield will launch first, almost without question.
  3. There is, as far as I know, exactly one site in Fresno with new hardware up on the tower. I have not seen any tower/cabinet activity on any of the others, and I have made it my mission to drive around like an idiot just for the sake of checking them. On the plus side, a large number of these sites do have evidence of backhaul/utilities activity.
  4. Clovis and the areas east of there are getting close to at least a cluster 3G launch, but I suspect it wont happen until the rodeo grounds site is built up. The permit is issued, but no activity out there yet.
  5. After even further analysis, that's not even a Sprint site. Sprint is on the one in the background.
  6. Without knowing which rack sprint occupies on that tower and what the underside of the panels look like, those could also be t mobile. Edit - Sprint's permit for that site has not yet been issued, and those panels are either too deep to be NV (in the case of the narrow beam panels) or the sides are too flat (in the case of the non-narrow beam panels). It looks like Sprint is on the second rack from the top, anyway.
  7. The last time I was in Madera was back in mid-September and I saw no progress, but clearly things may have changed since then. It's not exactly a favorite destination for me, but the next time I'm up there I will definitely linger a bit to check out the towers.
  8. Ah, glory days. Fresno isn't getting squat for the foreseeable future, unfortunately. Clovis is looking pretty good, though.
  9. Just to reinforce how wrong you are, observe: http://cap.ci.clovis.ca.us/CAP/Site/Permit/View/ByPermitNumber/CMBN-001345-2013
  10. If Sprint is going to do a cluster launch in Clovis and the Clovis addresses in Fresno county, there's four sites off the top of my head that are holding things up; Two out near Clovis East, one near Home Depot on Shaw, and one near the rodeo grounds. The city of Fresno is a long ways off, by the looks of things.
  11. Yeah that would be about right. I was down in tulare last Friday and at least one of the sites was offline entirely, but lte is definitely present there and in the other areas you mentioned. Unfortunately, as of late I haven't seen any new tower activity anywhere in my spheres of travel.
  12. Without seeing a before and after it is hard to say, but my gut says that's tmobile on the bottom.
  13. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-357-nexus-5-and-lg-g2-experience-temporary-sprint-lte-connectivity-issues-due-to-circuit-switched-fallback-technology/ I predict Q2 2014 for Fresno. Late Q2.
  14. I don't know what I'm going to do with my life after it does. Maybe I'll drive around, in vain, looking for TD-LTE hardware.
  15. Here we see a rare congregation of feral AT&T trucks, grazing in their native habitat behind the dollar store and recycling place. I did not dare stop my car, for your average AT&T truck startles easily. The hope is that, if given some privacy, the AT&T trucks will mate, producing a fiber-based offspring that will delight the bad neighborhood it will be born into.
