  1. I know! Kind of reminds me how those T-Mobile Faux-G users post their screenshots of 17Mbps speedtests with pings in the high thousands.
  2. My LTE speeds. I was moving so speeds fluctuated greatly. In Brooklyn. Those uploads aren't so great besides the 5mbps upload.
  3. Just mapped LTE along Snyder Avenue in Brooklyn. It lasted until I turned the corner onto Utica. I should mention I was going east coming from Downstate. I guess that would become self evident in a couple of minutes when it appears on the map
  4. I called Cablevision recently and threatened to switch to FiOS. As a result they are giving me all movie channels, Optimum Boost internet (30/5), and a multi room dvr for 140. Remember Optimum uses fiber too, they just don't run it into your home like Verizon does.
  5. Yeah, weird. I am also moving from Flatlands to Crown Heights, near Franklin. I am mad LTE is popping up near my home now.
  6. Some LTE is now available on the southwest side of Brooklyn, into a small part of Coney Island. Go to sensorly.com to see for yourself.
  7. Wow! That's a lot of reports coming in! I'm so excited right meow!!!!
  8. My RAM sticks around 700MB. When I clear apps it goes to about 640MB.
  9. New Yorkers aren't as mean as people put them out to be. We are just really straight forward and say what we mean.
  10. New York City hasn't been below 0 for a couple of years now. We still get a blizzard every so often though. We had one in 2011 during Winter Break.
  11. From the East side of Prospect Park to Kings County and SUNY Downstate there is LTE. You can check Sensorly.com for more
  12. Optimums fiber network is so robust that it is more than likely the go to backhaul provider for Long Island, Brooklyn, Staten Island, the Bronx, Southern Conneticut, and Northeast NJ. Just because they don't offer cable service there doesn't mean they dont have it.
  13. What MIMO does the EVO support?
  14. In NYC it is probably the major cable companies in many places. My understanding is that Optimum's network is fiber to the towers outside but they run a coaxial cable into your modem. I think the only places in Optimum service areas that aren't fiber are "last mike" folks that live on the edge of their service area.
  15. Hasnt Sprint been had HD voice for a while now? And the call quality has always been great in my opinion.
  16. The thing is, I believe T-Mobile has been actively deploying already in large cities, so I think they'll try to slap LTE on large cities first and make Sprint look stupid. I'd like to see what they advertise about their LTE above other carriers. They'll probably talk about speed because they definitely can't about coverage. But after we start getting Clearwire enabled phones, that'll end pretty quickly.
  17. Although Sprint's LTE network is growing faster than AT&T's, they still need to get to that darker shade of purple.
  18. Maybe its due to cell breathing. The way I understand cell breatingbis that when a tower gets overloaded, it'll shrink its coverage area slightly so that more people connect to another tower. It might be that, that tower is loaded and is pushing you off to the next and your phone is flip flopping.
  19. That means that your phone is switching between cell sites.
  20. Those are awesome speeds! Perfect example of how NV makes everything better!
  21. I could see a launch happening early to Mid-February but only for a the Bronx and possibky 1 other borough.
  22. They'll probably put a Clearwire type of tower inside the Barclays Center. Much like they did at Yankee Stadium with WiMax.
  23. Probably, but I am sure that as more towers come online, less people will be connected to each tower at a time so your speeds will progressively get a bit faster.
