  2. It would still be pretty much trying to combine two isp's into one data pipe unless clearwire pretty much broadcasts sprint data over their spectrum. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  3. Maybe part of my reasoning is that I only use about 200 minutes per month. That isn't a whole lot of time to feel deprived of the internet. I'm sure I would get used to it if I had it and then miss it if it was gone.
  4. Should be a donate button on the right side of the main forum page.
  5. I don't know about other carriers, but Sprint has the ETF prorated so it's not like you would be paying a $350 ETF after a year, it would be much less. Buying a phone full price to avoid a contract (unless on T-Mobile where they discount the plan if you pay full price, but still need a contract) is basically throwing the $20 or so per month that the carrier charges to make up the subsidy down the toilet unless you plan on cancelling after a couple months. About the only way to avoid a contract and not throw money away is to go prepaid.
  6. I'm sure it can be done, but for a cost. If no other carrier has plans similar to Sprint with using their own spectrum and Clearwire as well, the technology will be very expensive and not feasable. It would be very complicated and break up your data request. It might not work for things like streaming, and the required parts may not fit into a phone, so Sprint may not ever attempt to combine their LTE and Clearwire's LTE.
  7. I didn't know Toyota Tundra's could haul a boat. I kid, I kid. I'm thinking that Apple won't want to go too crazy on supporting all of Sprint's various bands. They need to give iPhonerds another big reason to buy the next iPhone the following year, 800 LTE. Then the year after, 2600 LTE.

  11. If HTC can't fit the guts for 800 LTE in the phone, it doesn't matter what sprint is planning. It won't be in the phone. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  12. You know what they say about early adopters... This is why a lot of people have been waiting for a phone that supports 800 LTE. There will be plenty of 1900 LTE to give EVO owners good service. There is still a chance that the EVO might support 800 LTE I don't think the FCC has ruled on the LTE on 800mhz. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  13. Clear's spectrum precludes that possibility in a lot of locations. The towers are spread too far apart and there would be holes in their coverage Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

  16. I think it's sad when you can buy a physical book for less than an e book. Then you have to buy a reader to boot. E books should be priced to pay the author and publisher. The delivery outlet gets a cut, and the customer saves a little. Just another example of apple gouging customers just because they can. E books would catch on big time if they were priced in the $5-8 range that they could be priced. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
