It's not by account, since my wife got it and I haven't yet.

My work phone had RCS messaging enabled yesterday (S4T) and my wife's phone (S6) became enabled today. Still waiting on my personal phone to get that ability (Note 5). We both got a message asking if we wanted to use enhanced messaging when we opened the Google Messenger app. It then sends you a text message saying it has been activated. It then adds a new option in the settings (in advanced options) for enhanced features.

Yes, my wife just got it pushed today. I looked it up on Sprint's website. It's just a security update.

That's interesting. Even on my old Galaxy S4T work phone, having WiFi calling active doesn't effect HD voice. HD voice still works fine.HD voice is dependent on the device. If it uses the old IMS core, it disables HD voice for all calls (source: a senior tech at Sprint who was diagnosing and tracing calls for me) since they're routed internally through the IMS core regardless of where the call originates. With phones that use the new IMS core for wifi calling, it may not disable HD voice.
Basically, Sprint routes calls differently internally depending on whether or not wifi calling is on your account.

HD voice definitely still works when not connected to WiFi calling, even with it active on the account. Some of these things work when not connected to WiFi calling, that makes it sound like they don't work at all. For example, Wireless Emergency Alerts will still work when not connected to WiFi calling. even though it may be enabled. The reason they don't work when using WiFi calling is your entire connection to the macro network is severed.
I wonder how many of them are disabled completely, or only unavailable while connected to WiFi calling.
With Google voice active, HD calling does not work.

That's not RCS. Samsung has that baked into their stock messaging app. RCS will go through Google Messenger only.My aunt's GS6 edge got the update in the stock Samsung messaging app. When I went to send a photo to myself, it asked me if I wanted to use SMS or RCS (though not under those terms, I think it said advanced messaging). When I clicked advanced messaging only two people from her contacts came up and I'm assuming those people also have RCS on Sprint.

It's good news, even though it could still be a while before it comes to our phones.Grace UX on it's way...

This seems like a really slow rollout. Any chance Messenger needs a play services update or something?

My Note 4 rebooted randomly, but so far my Note 5 is still running well.

Probably more likely less site density than big cities, but the more spectrum that comes online, the better everyone's experience will be. For instance, as B26 comes online, B25 speeds will increase. As B41 comes online, B25 speeds will increase.Glad to see some good speeds on B41! I have noticed more B41 going on in Charlottesville recently and I was using my Samsung so I was able to see from SCP. I have seen at least three sites in the past month get B26 so that's a good thing.
There is a spot around Lake Monticello where I lose service and just recently will catch USCC Band 12 roaming so that's new to this area. Why are our speeds slower than big metros? Low spectrum? Backhaul?

Was your battery low? The GPS will turn itself on below 15% to log a location before the battery dies.Anyone else's GPS acting funny? I usually keep mine on "Wifi and Mobile Networks" setting, unless I'm using Google Maps for driving directions, etc. Today was interesting. For some odd reason, location services kept turning itself on to "GPS, wifi, and mobile networks" many times for a couple hrs, while I kept switching it back.

Also found some new B41 in Mt Jackson, VA today. I was driving by, but it's the first I've seen it pop up. It would've had to have gone live in the past month or so. I just can't remember for sure the last time I went through there. In Shenandoah Co, I've now found B41 in Strasburg, Woodstock, Edinburg (corporate HQ of Shentel), and in Mt Jackson.

Some new B41 just went up in Strasburg, VA. It even has CA active already. This is the fastest test that I have ever seen personally. It was done around 4am today (Sunday) when there was very little load on the tower. I'm glad to see more B41 going active on the busier sites around here.

That's a lot. Hopefully nobody's kid figures that out and then watches a movie. I would not want that bill.Never mind I found the information on sprints site. If you restore data roaming after your limit is reached you will be charged $0.25 for every additional megabyte.

Even if it doesn't, it's still a great plan. I'm using the Tab E 8.0 on that plan now and it runs great, even as a mid range tablet.

I heard somewhere that Sprint may release a new Samsung tablet in the 10 inch range by the end of the year. With the new $20 unlimited plan, it might fit what you want.

I will say this tablet gets strong B41 signal. It's definitely better than my Note 5. I haven't had a chance to compare B25 and B26 with my Note 5, but I'm impressed with the B41 strength.

Glad you got that resolved.Got a call from a network tech regarding the ticket I submitted. He stated that they contacted Shentel network techs and that the problem should be resolved. He didn't elaborate on what it was even when I asked so I'm not sure what the deal really was. I did a speed test and things seem back to normal

I use SwiftKey and haven't had that issue. I assume you are referring to the stock keyboard?

Just bought a Samsung Tab E to put it on this new $20 "unlimited" tablet plan. $106 on Ebay right now, which sure beats Sprint's $300 price point. Seller claims it is brand new and sealed.

I'm no expert, but is it possible an Internet line went down in that area and traffic is being temporarily rerouted through a much slower connection?

If he is too busy, maybe he would partner with someone else to keep it going. A lot of us enjoy his app and use it often. We had a good run, he is a busy man we should all be thankful we had something like this for as long as we did. Thanks Mike! Let's hope we're wrong however and he is just busy.
