I wonder what the chance is that Samsung will give the Note 5 all the software features that were in the Note 7? Like always on display, blue light filter, secure folder, etc. I think it would be great for them to do it, since the 7 was canceled. Has anyone come across any articles that say it may or will happen?

I just returned my Note 7 to Best Buy and reactivated my Note 5. They took it back with no issues.

Morning all,

 

I need some advice or and recommendations in regards to replacement on the S-pen. It's broken and I'm aware they're expensive.

 

Any leads where I get pick one up without having to pay an arm an a leg .

Amazon sells it for $21. I know cost is relative, but that's not too expensive.

If the Note 7 ends up getting recalled again, I have a bit of a dilemma. If the S7 edge had 64GB of storage, I would gladly exchange my Note 7 for it. I really love having that much on device storage. My question is, if I just return my Note 7 to Sprint or Best Buy, will Sprint reset my contract to give me back my upgrade to use at a later date? I think I just may wait for the S8 edge at this point as long as my upgrade doesn't get lost. I'm guessing the S8 devices will also get 64GB of storage.

 

Edit: I still have my Note 5 to go back to if I have to send the Note 7 back, so I have a good back up phone, if need be.

Every time I go by there I hope the ntelos towers have been reprogrammed with Sprint GCIs, but I've been disappointed every time so far. I go to Weyer's Cave a few times per year and it keeps bouncing between decent ntelos LTE and a distant 1x800 Sprint site. Sprint (Shentel) needs to fix it so the old ntelos towers have the same priority as Sprint towers. That would fix the issue at least temporarily until they reprogram the GCIs.

Just an FYI. If you are coming from another Samsung phone and had enhanced messaging enabled, disable it on your old phone before activating a Note 7. Apparently the Note 7 does not have that feature for some reason.

 

I was sending texts to my mom from my Note 7 and I wasn't receiving anything back. I turned on my old phone (Note 5) and 4 messages came through over WiFi. For those who may not know, enhanced messages go over the data channel, so that's why they came through over WiFi.

Did you click on "Other Galaxy Phone" when it asked you which phone you have?

Yes. When I got to the page to enter the MEID and WiFi MAC address, it said my phone model did not qualify.

I'm not an iPhone guy, but I just put in $10. One, to help the site, and two, I'll either give it to my wife or sell it to buy her an S7 if I would be so lucky.

Someone said that as of Oct 1st Best Buy will stop the 2-yr upgrades but it's still available as of a minute ago. Hope that info was wrong & it's not really going away at Best Buy.

I just tried to redeem the promo with the VR headset with my newly purchased Note 7 and it said my phone is not eligible. Not sure how some people are getting it to go through. Any ideas?

It's nationwide now. Just flew from Baltimore to Miami, both are having the same issue and care told me they have many calls on it

I thought CA was on in Shentel I can't remember seeing it though. I know 2nd carrier is widespread where B41 is located.

In my county (Shenandoah Co), I've found three towers so far with B41. All have two carriers active, but CA is not active.

I'm excited to start seeing B41 showing up around me. Just wondering when 2xCA might start popping up. It would seem to me it would've been easy to just enable it from the start, but maybe not.

im noticing alot of degraded signal quality in the area... im assuming the towers are getting upgraded now or the backhaul in Shenandoah is being upgraded
