Others have asked about this, but not sure if it was in a public forum or not. Developers have no control over icon colors, the OS is supposed to flip it light/dark based on the background.. do you have Nova Launcher or something similar installed? That seems to be what causes this issue.

    -Mike

This is in stock TouchWiz. It seems all other apps flip to a gray color except for SCP.

  2. Mike,

This may only effect Samsung phones, but I've noticed that when the notification bar is white, the SCP notification in the bar washes out. Is there any chance you could program the notification to switch to gray (or some other dark color) when the notification bar is white? The easiest way to see this is to open the phone app. It changes the top notification bar to white and you can no longer see the SCP signal level. Most other apps seem to switch their icon to gray so you can still see the icons up top, such as Google Play Music.

If this has been brought up before, I apologize. I don't remember seeing it.

Thanks again for your hard work.

  3. I just did a quick call on my new S8+ with my wife and I was impressed. It didn't seem like there was any additional delay over 1x, and the call was clear. She was on an S7 connected to the cellular network (not wifi calling). I do have good LTE coverage at my house, so I'll have to try it when in some weaker areas to see how it works.

Note: I'm posting this from my S7 edge because I don't have Tapatalk set up yet on my S8+.

  4. Just found a new 10X10 band 25 carrier in Shentel territory. It Waynesboro, Pa city

UL channel 26140 DL Channel 8140.

This is a change. We did have the standard G block 5X5 and another 5X5 probably in Block "A"

SCP identifies this as B25 with no second carrier identification.

I am not sure if they obtained something other than block "A" somehow or what.

I have not seen a B-25 second carrier identification in SCPsince this 10X10 suddenly appeared, but there may still be a second b-25 carrier here.

An nTelos site was removed here as it was no longer needed. nTelos used band 25 but not sure what block was used here. It was not block "A:"

Could this be from trading another carrier to make one 10x10 channel instead of two 5x5 channels?

  5. Is $16.66 per month a good price for the S8 and $20.83 for the S8+? Both are on sale at Best Buy for those prices for 24 months. It works out to $400 and $500 respectively. Is that about the best price they've been, or is that the going rate?

  6. Next up for calling plus... dun dun dun...

I sure hope so. I would love to try it and then use it if it works well. I have two phones (one personal and one for work), so I can always use the other phone if I need to look something up while on a call, but I think it will be much more convenient to have calling plus enabled.

  7. Thanks! I did see that.. I've been thinking about it a lot, and hadn't come up with a great approach on how to address it so I hadn't replied yet. The problem is it's perfectly fitting the GCI pattern for B41 SC (even third character; characters 4-6 exceed 900; sector 01). This is the first B25 report I've seen, but I worry that it won't will be the last. So do I just display them all as small cells and eliminate the band designation? Or is this going to be a rare find?

    -Mike

It's probably a rare find according to a conversation I had with another member. Apparent Shentel used some B25 small cells before B41 small cells became available. Maybe some others with knowledge can comment.

  8. Mike,
I got excited when I thought they upgraded this small cell site to B41, but when I checked the engineering screen, it's still B25. I don't know if anyone had showed you this yet, but it's misidentifying it as B41. I took two screen shots because it's two different small cells at the same site. I haven't checked the two other small cell sites near me yet. da0e3a2038eeee29247f7af38c11fff5.jpg31804b1e6fb91ab7372e5fab8df59ff8.jpg

  9. Got an update on the GS7E yesterday. Anyone know what it was for? Security, I imagine. But I had also been experiencing severe screen mirroring issues with my 2016 55 inch Samsung TV. After yesterday's update, my screen mirroring function appears to be working just fine. For reference, my boyfriend's gs8+ NEVER had issues with the screen mirror feature and he did not receive the same update.

The newest update ends in QF3. You can look in this thread when it came out, but I think it was around the beginning of the month. There haven't been any updates since then to my knowledge.

What GCI endings? Can't remember off the top of my head what made it into the current release and what I have added since..

    -Mike

That's probably the problem. B25 2nd carrier endings here (Shentel) are 09, 0A, 0B, but they use those for both 5x5 and 10x10. I was hoping you were able to use something to pull from the modem to get that info.
